PSL-1, PSL-1A, PSL-1.5 AND PSL-1.5A LOCKOUT HASPS

Prevents inadvertent, accidental, or unintentional energization of the electrical circuit for disconnect switches for the purpose of maintenance, cleaning or repair. Energy sources can be locked out by up to six padlocks for group lockout applications.

Installation Instructions

WARNING

Always perform an Electrical De-Energization Test and Blocking Verification Test before using this product.

All associated circuitry and /or energy isolating devices should be electrically verified as de-energized prior to and following the installation of the lockout devices.

BLOCKING VERIFICATION TEST:

If this lockout device cannot be affixed in a manner that will hold the appropriate energy isolating devices in a safe or off position, the device SHALL NOT be used.

APPPROPRIATE USE of these lockout devices is the sole responsibility of the user in relation to compliance with Lockout Tagout regulations/standards and Company Safety procedures.

STEP 1

Isolate all energy sources to the equipment.

Test and Verify equipment is de-energized.

Ensure that ALL energy sources to the equipment are isolated and release any stored Energy from alternate energy sources.

STEP 2

Open hasps Jaws and install onto switch or device to be Isolated.

STEP 3

Close hasp so jaws go through the locking hole provided on the device.

STEP 4

Insert up to six padlocks and Danger tags into holes of the hasp.

Verify the disconnect lockout device secures handle in a safe or off position.
