Frequently Asked Questions - LPCB40 BOSS

How do I install the dash cam?
Clean the windshield area, attach the suction mount, and press the camera firmly. Connect the power cable to the cigarette lighter. Adjust the angle to capture the road.
What SD card should I use?
Use a MicroSD card with Class 10 or higher, up to 32 GB. Format the card in FAT32 before first use.
How does loop recording work?
When the SD card is full, the oldest footage is automatically overwritten. You can set clip length (1/3/5 minutes) in settings.
Can the camera record when the car is off?
Yes, with parking mode enabled, it uses motion detection or G-sensor to record events while parked. Requires hardwiring or constant power.
How do I view footage?
Remove the SD card and use a computer card reader, or connect the camera via USB. Videos are in MOV/AVI format.
What does the G-sensor do?
The G-sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions, and locks the current video file so it is not overwritten during loop recording.
How do I reset the camera?
Locate the small reset button (use a paperclip) and press it for 5 seconds. This restores factory settings.
Can I use the camera at night?
Yes, the camera has night vision capability using infrared LEDs or low-light sensor for clear recording in dark conditions.
Why is the camera not turning on?
Check the power cable connection and ensure the cigarette lighter is working. Try a different USB cable or charge the internal battery via computer.
How do I update the firmware?
Download the latest firmware from the BOSS support website. Copy the .bin file to the SD card root, insert into camera, and power on. Follow on-screen prompts.
