Thank you for the purchase of your new SPT product.
Please thoroughly read and maintain this manual for future reference.

- This appliance is intended for household only.
- Never operate this unit if the cord is damaged. In case of damage, the cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorized service agency or a similarly qualified electrician.
- Close supervision is necessary when this item is used by or near children.
- The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
1 IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, DO NOT use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.
Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard fan or return to an authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
Please read all instructions before using this product.
Save these instructions for easy reference. When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce breakage, risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons including the following:
- Do not use the fan outdoors.
- Never use the fan unless it is fully assembled.
- Do not use the fan under the following conditions:
1) High temperature of over 104^ F.
2) High humidity.
3) Steam filled room.
- Do not push finger or any object through the frilles and do not touch the fan blade during use. Especially be aware children and infants around during use.
- Do not spray the fan with insecticide, which will damage the surface of the fan.
• Cut off power before servicing. - NOT for use in cooking area – see figure 1 for demonstration.

PART LIST
- Power connection and cutoff for the drop grid ceiling fan is based on the home electrical wiring.
The home electrical wiring must be equipped with all-pole disconnection switch. Connect the black and white lead with live and neutral wire respectively.
Adjust the all-pole disconnection switch to "OFF" position whenever the power of the fan needs to be cut off.
- To search for a proper location for installation, it is suggested that there should be at least 7.5ft between the fan blade and the floor.

INSTALLATION

Pure electrical circuit lines without any symbols- Run the home electrical wires through a protection box* and connect with the terminals on the fan. Add insulations to the wires.

- Secure the protection box at the location shown in the graphic by two 4mm self-tapping screws.
*The protection box is a separate component that can be purchased at stores. The demonstrated protection box in the illustration above is B118B-UPC by Thomas & btees.

OPERATION

Remote Controller panel:
Power Button:
Press this button to turn on/off unit.
Circulate:
Press this button to turn on or off the grille rotation.
Off-Timer:
Press the button to set up auto shut-off timer. The off timer can be set up to 7 hours.
+ Speed control button +:
Press this button to increase fan speed.
- Speed control button -:
Press this button to reduce fan speed.

Using your Fan:
- Power: Switch the unit on by pressing "On/Off" button. To turn off press the "On/Off" button again.
- Circulate: Press this button to turn on or off the grille rotation.
- Shut-off Timer (up to 7 hours): Set the desired time by pressing "Timer" button. There are three LED lights – "1H", "2H", and "4H". The LED lights indicate the selected timer (hours). For example: when "1H" and "4H" light up, the selected timer is 5 (5=1+4) hours.
- Fan speed: Select the desired fan speed by pressing "Speed" buttons. There are nine speeds. Press SPEED + to increase fan speed. Press SPEED- to decrease fan speeds. When switched "ON" the Green On/Off and Green Fan Speed LED lights on the display panel will illuminate. The unit will beep when you press any button on the control panel of the remote controller.

CLEANING THE UNIT
Before servicing or cleaning the ceiling fan, turn off power at breaker and lock service disconnecting means to prevent power from being turned on accidentally.

Turn the fan off and unplug the power, verify that the fan blade is no longer spinning.

Remove the screws from the fan and clean fan with warm moistened soft cloth only. DO NOT pour or splash water on the fan. DO NOT use any abrasive or harsh cleaners, as this may damage the unit.

DO NOT polish the plastic part, or it will cause color change or damage

- The warranty will be void if the product if modified, misused or repaired by an unauthorized person.
- The warranty after repair will not be extended beyond the original one-year period.
- All replacement parts will be new or reconditioned.
- Parts, which are replaced, become the property of Sunpentown.
• The warranty applies for the use of the product in the USA only.
What is NOT COVERED:
- Warranty does not include freight charges.
- Damage due to installation error, product abuse and/or misuse.
- Incidental or consequential damage caused by possible defects with this product.
- Labor cost incurred for the installation and/or removal of a possible defective unit.
- Damage to product caused by improper power supply voltage, accident, fire, floods or acts of nature.
- Failure of product resulting from unauthorized modifications to the product.
- Improper installation or failure to perform the necessary maintenance.
- Normal wear and tear on parts or replacement of parts designed to be replaced.
