Frequently Asked Questions - FB27TG Conair

How do I clean the filter on my Conair FB27TG hair dryer?
Unplug the dryer. Remove the rear grille by twisting it counterclockwise. Use a soft brush or cloth to remove lint and debris. Replace the grille by twisting clockwise until it locks. Regular cleaning prevents overheating.
Can I use the FB27TG with a voltage converter overseas?
The FB27TG is designed for 120V only. Using it with a voltage converter is not recommended as it may cause damage or poor performance. Check the label before use.
Why does my hair dryer shut off automatically?
The dryer has auto shut-off protection if it overheats. This can happen if the air intake is blocked or the filter is dirty. Turn off, unplug, clean the filter, and let it cool down before restarting.
Is the concentrator nozzle included with the FB27TG?
Yes, the FB27TG includes a concentrator nozzle for precise styling. Attach it by snapping it onto the front of the dryer.
How do I use the cool shot button?
While drying, press and hold the Cool Shot button (often marked with a blue dot) to release a burst of cool air. This helps set your hairstyle in place.
What does the warranty cover?
Conair offers a limited 2-year warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship. Keep your receipt. Warranty does not cover damage from misuse or normal wear.
Can I use the dryer in the bathroom?
Always keep the dryer away from water. Do not use near filled sinks, bathtubs, or showers. Unplug after use. For safety, install a GFCI outlet in your bathroom.
How do I store the FB27TG after use?
Allow the dryer to cool completely. Wrap the cord loosely (do not bend tightly) and use the hang loop to store it on a hook. Keep in a dry place.
What should I do if the dryer stops working?
First, check the power cord and outlet. Ensure the filter is not clogged. If it still doesn't work, contact Conair customer service. Do not attempt to repair yourself as it may void warranty.
Is this hair dryer suitable for thick or curly hair?
Yes, the 1875-watt motor provides strong airflow. Use high heat and speed for thick hair, and the concentrator for focused drying. For curly hair, use a diffuser (sold separately).
