USER MANUAL PA-10 EAGLE
EAGLE PA-10 10 WATT AMPLIFIER INSTALLATION MANUAL
1.0 GENERAL.
The Eagle PA-10 provides up to 10 Watts of high quality clean audio output, ideal for Two Way Voice applications. Additionally, the PA-10 is a great compact public address audio amplifier. It may be connected to a telephone system paging output, a microphone, or even an ordinary single line phone set (see Basic PA system below). The audio source is amplified up to 10 watts, adjustable from an on-board volume control. Remotely installed, it saves money by requiring only 22 - 24 gauge telco or alarm type wire. It operates on 12 to 24 volts AC or DC and can also drive multiple speakers.
2.0 SPECIFICATIONS.
Rated output: 10 Watts**
Operating Voltage & Current: 12 to 24 Volts AC or DC**
Speaker Load: 2 to 16 Ohms**
Current Draw: 50 to 800mA, load and volume level dependant
Input Impedance: 1000 Ohms nominal
Size: 3" x 3" x 1"
3.0 TERMINAL STRIP CONNECTIONS.
POWER: 12 to 24 VAC or VDC
INPUT: Connect to your audio source (e.g.: two way audio module speaker output)
SPEAKER: Connect to speaker output. Maintain 2 to 16 Ohms impedance
MUTE: Connect to NC relay connection (for two way audio applications.) Mutes when contacts are connected.
4.0 OPERATION.
Make connections to POWER, INPUT, and SPEAKER. Connect MUTE to switch or relay. Closing MUTE contacts mutes all sound.
Adjust potentiometer to desired output level. Input level may need to be adjusted.
If used with an Eagle Two Way Audio Module, cut resistor R1000 (if installed).
If used in public address system, connect 1K ohm resistor between +POWER and opposite side of INPUT (side not attached to phone) ONLY if not installed in board.
**NOTE: The Eagle PA-10 is primarily designed for short duration (intermittent) paging applications. For long durations, such as playing music, you may need to reduce the volume output, or lower the power input voltage, or lower the speaker loading in order to keep the PA-10 from overloading and shutting down.
