USER MANUAL HYBV3000E HYUNDAI

1.1 General Safety Notes.

1.2 The operator of the machine is responsible for, and has a duty of care in making sure that the machine is operated safely and in accordance with the instructions in this user manual. Keep the manual safe and pass it on if the machine is loaned or sold to another user.

1.3 Please note the following safety points.
1.4 The machine should never be left it in a condition which would allow an untrained or unauthorised person/s to operate this machine.
1.5 All due care and diligence should be taken by the operator for the safety of and with regard to those around whilst using the machine.
1.6 Some or all of the following - warning signs, symbols and/or PPE pictograms may appear throughout this manual. You MUST adhere to their warnings. Failure to do so may result in personal injury to yourself or those around you.

1.14 Are intact and have no signs of damage, to include but not limited to bare wires, chaffing, cuts and loose wiring.
1.15 If there are any signs of damage, the damaged item MUST be taken out of service until the damage has been repaired by an electrically competent person.
1.18 All trailing cables should be routed so as not to cause any kind of trip hazard.

1.20 Vibrations (where applicable).

1.21 Prolonged use of hand held (operated) machines will cause the user to feel the effects of/from vibrations. These vibrations can lead to white finger (Raynaud's phenomenon) or carpal tunnel syndrome. This condition reduces the ability of the hand to feel and regulate temperature, causing numbness and heat sensations and may cause never damage and circulatory tissue death.
1.22 Not all factors that lead to white finger disease are known, but cold weather, smoking and other diseases that affect blood vessels and blood circulation as well as large and long-lasting impact of shocks are considered factors in the formation of white finger. Note the following to reduce the risk of white finger and carpal tunnel syndrome;
1.23 Wear gloves and keep your hands warm.
1.24 Take regular breaks.
1.25 All of the above precautions may help reduce the risk of white finger disease but not rule out the carpal tunnel syndrome. Long-term and regular users are therefore recommended to observe the condition of your hands and fingers. Seek medical attention immediately if any of the above symptoms should occur.

Noise (where applicable).

The operating noise of the machine can damage your hearing. Wear hearing protection such as earplugs or ear defenders to protect your hearing. Long-term and regular users are advised to have hearing checked regularly. Be especially vigilant and cautious when hearing ear protection because your ability to hear alarm warnings will be reduced.

Noise emissions for this equipment is unavoidable. Carry out noisy work at approved times and for certain periods. Limit the working time to a minimum. For your personal protection and protection of people working nearby it is also advisable for them to wear hearing protection.

MACHINE SPECIFIC SAFETY

1.30 General Machine Safety.

1.31 Read the owner's manual carefully to understand how to operate this machine properly.
1.32 You should NEVER use the machine when;
1.33 Wearing loose clothing, barefoot or sandals.
1.34 Under the influence of drink or drugs or as a result of having taken medication for cold or flu, or any other times when a possibility exists that your judgement might be impaired or that you might not be able to operate the machine properly and in a safe manner.
1.35 Suffering from exhaustion or lack of sleep.
1.36 When the ground is slippery or when other conditions exist which might make it not possible to maintain a steady posture.
1.37 At night, at times of heavy fog, or at any other times when your field of vision might be limited and it would be difficult to gain a clear view of the area.
1.38 During rain storms, lighting storms, at times of strong or gale force winds, or at any other times when the weather conditions might make it unsafe to use this product.
1.39 NEVER run the engine indoors. The exhaust gasses contain harmful carbon monoxide.
1.40 When using this machine for the first time and before actual work, you MUST learn how to handle the machine from an experienced or skilled person.
1.41 Limit the amount of time using the machine continuously to somewhere around 10 minutes per session and take 10 to 20 minutes of rest between sessions. Also try to keep the total amount of work in a single day limited to 2 hours or less.
1.42 NEVER allow children or anyone unable to fully understand the directions given in this manual to operate this product.
1.43 Make sure you keep this manual handy so you may refer to it whenever questions arise and ensure you pass this manual on if the machine is loaned or sold.

3. ASSEMBLY

WARNING

ALWAYS ensure the machine is turned off and unplugged before assembly or emptying the collection bag.

Press the button (pic.2) (2-1) and slide the air duct in and out (pic.2) (2-2), the air duct can be adjusted based on user height, adjust the height up to 300mm maximum to 30mm minimum in height (pic.3).

FITTING THE DEBRIS COLLECTION BAG

3.1

Before fitting the debris collection bag ensure that the vacuum/blow selector lever operates smoothly and not obstructed by debris from the previous use.

3.2

When installing the collection bag turn the support (Pic.4) (4.1) frame into the correct position (Pic.4) (4.3) and make sure the support (Pic.4) (4.2) lock is in place.

3.3

When dismantling the collection bag: press the support lock (Pic.5) (5.1) to release, if the support lock has already been released, you must carry the collection bag's weight alone.

ATTENTION: always ensure vacuum/blower is switch off before fitting or removing the debris collection bag.

The Vacuum-Blower is provided with a shoulder harness (Pic.6)(6.1) this is attached to the top of the main body of the vacuum/blower as shown in (Pic.6)(6.2).

The shoulder harness is provided to reduce fatigue and aid comfort when using the vacuum/blower and can be worn in a position to suit the operator.

4. STARTING THE MACHINE

NOTE

Before starting, ensure the vacuum/blower tube is fitted correctly and attach the collection bag. Without the collection bag fitted, the vacuum/blower will not start.

Ensure the vacuum/blower selector lever operates smoothly.

Plug the vacuum/blower in to a mains power socket and turn the socket on.

Before selecting either the vacuum or blow function ensure that the selector lever operates smoothly and that it is not obstructed by debris from the previous use.

Select either the vacuum or blow function using the selector lever on the side of the machine (Pic.7)(7.1) and press the button and switch to start (Pic.8)(8.1).

If more power is required slide the speed controller from position (1) to position Max. (Pic.9)(9.1).

5. STOPPING THE MACHINE

5.0

To turn off the machine you can simply release the switch/button (Pic.10)(10.1)

Before starting, ensure the vacuum/blower tube is fitted correctly and attach the collection bag. Without the collection bag fitted, the Vacuum/Blower will not start.

Ensure the Vacuum/Blower selector lever operates smoothly.

NOTE

Any hard objects such as stones, bottles, cans etc. will damage the suction fan.

DO NOT use the vacuum/Blower to suck up water or very wet debris.

NEVER operate the Vacuum/Blower without the debris collection bag fitted.

USING VAC-BLOWER

6.0 Make sure that all nuts and bolts are secure before starting the Vac-Blower.
6.1 Only use the Vac-Blower in dry surroundings never outdoors in the rain.
6.2 Do not use the Vac-Blower if it has a faulty safety device or if the guard is missing.
6.3 Special care should be taken when cleaning. This should only be done with the Vac-Blower switched off and disconnected from the mains supply to prevent injury.
6.4 Ensure that the cable and any extension cable used are checked for damage and are coiled correctly without kinks

NOTE: Do not attempt to pick up wet debris, allow fallen leaves to dry out before using the Vacuum Blower. The Vacuum-Blower can be used to blow debris from patios, paths, driveways, lawns, bushes and borders. It will also pick up leaves, paper, small twigs and wood chippings.

When using the Vacuum Blower in Vacuum mode the debris is sucked up the suction tube before being ejected into the debris collection bag, as the debris passes through the suction fan it is partially shredded.

The shredded organic debris is ideal to use as mulch around plants.

WARNING: Any hard objects, such as stones, tin cans glass etc, will damage the suction fan.

VACUUM MODE

ALWAYS inspect the area to be worked before starting, remove any objects or debris that could be thrown, jammed or become entangled in the Vacuum-Blower.

Select the vacuum function using the selector lever on the side of the machine and switch on.

With the Vacuum-Blower resting on its wheels move the Vacuum-Blower forwards directing the nozzle at the debris to be collected.

Alternatively with the Vacuum-Blower held just above the ground swing the machine from side to side, moving forwards and directing the nozzle at the debris to be collected.

Do not force the nozzle into the debris as this will block the suction tube and reduce the efficiency of the machine.

Organic materials such as leaves contain a large amount of water that can cause them to stick to the inside of the suction tube. To reduce sticking the material should be left for a few days to dry out.

BLOWER MODE

6.11 ALWAYS inspect the area to be worked before starting, remove any objects or debris that could be thrown, jammed or become entangled in the Vacuum-Blower.
6.12 Select the blow function using the selector lever on the side of the machine and switch on. With the Vacuum-Blower resting on its wheels move the Vacuum-Blower forwards directing the nozzle at the debris to be cleared.
6.13 Alternatively hold nozzle just above the ground and swing the machine from side to side, moving forwards and directing the nozzle at the debris to be cleared. Blow the debris into a convenient heap then use the vacuum function to collect the debris.
NEVER run the machine without the vacuum/blower tubes or collection bag installed.
ALWAYS hold the blower away from your body with the handle in your right hand.
DO NOT place the machine on top of loose gravel or debris.
Debris may be sucked into the blower intake vent resulting in possible damage to the unit and may result in personal injury.
ALWAYS use the lowest possible throttle setting to get the job done.
When using the machine at higher throttle settings, the noise will increase.
ALWAYS wear hearing protection whilst operating the machine.
ALWAYS be aware of the strength and direction of the air flow.
NEVER point the air flow directly at people or animals.
Use rakes and brooms to loosen debris before using the machine.
ALWAYS wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when using this machine.

WARNING

You must turn off and unplug the machine before carrying out any maintenance. Always wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

NOTE

Do not use a hose pipe or pressure washer for cleaning the machine.

Do not use solvent based cleaning products as these could damage critical components.

7.0 This machine has been designed to operate over a long period of time with a minimum of maintenance.
7.1 Check all nuts and bolts are tight before each use.
7.2 Check the vacuum/blower selection lever operates as normal and is free from debris.
7.3 Check the collection bag frequently for wear or deterioration.
7.4 Replace any worn or damaged parts with manufacturer recommended parts.
7.5 Always empty the collection bag via the zip.

8. STORAGE

8.0 Inspect and clean the machine as laid out in the maintenance section.
8.1 Store in a cool dry place away from extreme changes of temperature.
8.2 Ensure the cable is neatly coiled and stored so as not to be a trip hazard or be at risk of getting damaged.
8.3 Do not stack other items on top of the machine.
