Frequently Asked Questions - HNU 270AA HOOVER

How often should I defrost the freezer?
Defrost the freezer whenever an excessive layer of frost forms. Turn off the appliance, leave the door open, and avoid using sharp objects to remove ice to prevent damage to the refrigerating circuit.
What should I do if the freezer is not cold enough?
Check the thermostat setting and adjust to a higher (colder) setting. Ensure the door is not left open for long, you have not overloaded the freezer, and you are not placing hot foods inside.
Why is there too much frost in my freezer?
Excessive frost can occur if the door is left open too long or the thermostat is set too cold. Unplug the freezer, defrost it completely, then restart with a lower thermostat setting.

Clean the exterior with a damp cloth. For the interior, use a solution of bicarbonate of soda and water. Avoid abrasive products. Regularly check that the water outlet at the back is not obstructed.
How do I replace the light bulb in the freezer?
Set the thermostat to '0' and unplug the appliance. Use a flat screwdriver to lift the grid and remove the transparent cover. Replace the bulb with one of the same type and wattage, then refit the cover and plug in.
What does it mean if the light does not work?
First ensure the plug is properly inserted and the electricity is working. If the bulb is blown, replace it following the instructions. If the problem persists, contact the service department with the model and serial number.
Can I install the freezer outside?
No, the freezer is designed for indoor use only. Installing it outside may cause malfunction and is not recommended.
How do I level the freezer?
Use the adjustable feet at the bottom to level the appliance. This helps reduce vibrations and noise.
What clearance is needed around the freezer?
Leave at least 5 cm of space between the freezer and the wall or surrounding items for proper ventilation and efficient operation.
Why is there water inside the freezer compartment?
A few drops of water on the sides are normal in humid conditions. Ensure the water outlet at the back is not obstructed. If water accumulates, check the door is properly closed and not left open.
