The B442 provides IP communication over a GSM (GPRS) cellular network by plugging into a B Series control panel or B450 Conettix Plug-in Communicator Interface. Typical applications are:

Mounting considerations

The cellular communicator plugs directly into any B Series control panel via the on-board plug-in connection, or other compatible control panels via a B450 Conettix Plug-in Communicator Interface.

Wiring considerations

The cellular communicator connects to the B Series control panel without tools or physical wiring for power. When used with the B450 Conettix Plug-in Communicator Interface, the B450 is wired to the SDI2, SDI, or option bus control panel. The antenna is attached to the module via the threaded SMA connector.

Cellular Service Considerations

The B442 requires an active cellular service on a GSM supported cellular network.
