Frequently Asked Questions - PDUMID95 SereneLife

How do I set the desired humidity level?
Use the humidity control dial on the control panel. Turn it to your preferred humidity level (typically between 30% and 80%). The dehumidifier will automatically stop when the set level is reached.
What does the auto shut-off feature do?
The auto shut-off function turns off the dehumidifier when the water tank is full or the set humidity is achieved, preventing overflow and saving energy.
Can I use a continuous drainage hose?
Yes, the PDUMID95 supports continuous drainage. Connect a standard garden hose (not included) to the drain outlet at the back. Ensure the hose is positioned downward for proper water flow.
How often should I clean the filter?
Clean the washable pre-filter every two weeks. A dirty filter reduces efficiency. To clean, remove the filter, rinse under lukewarm water, let it dry completely, and reinsert.
What should I do if the dehumidifier is not collecting water?
Check the room temperature: the unit works best above 41°F (5°C). Also, ensure the humidity setting is below current room humidity. Clean the filter and check that the air intake is not blocked.
Is the dehumidifier noisy?
The dehumidifier operates at a noise level around 48 dB on low speed and 52 dB on high speed, which is comparable to a quiet conversation.
How do I reset the unit after a power failure?
Simply unplug the dehumidifier, wait 5 minutes, and plug it back in. The unit will resume operation with the previous settings.
Can I use the dehumidifier in an unheated basement?
Yes, but ensure the temperature stays above 41°F (5°C) to prevent frost buildup. Below that, the unit may not operate efficiently.
Where can I purchase replacement filters?
Replacement filters (model SLP-FILTER) are available on the SereneLife website or through authorized retailers. Use only genuine filters for optimal performance.
Why does the dehumidifier display an 'E1' error code?
The 'E1' error indicates a humidistat sensor failure. Unplug the unit for 10 minutes to reset. If the error persists, contact SereneLife customer support.
