Frequently Asked Questions - NF60208SS STOVES

What is the total capacity of the Stoves NF60208SS refrigerator?
The total net capacity is approximately 140 liters, with around 120 liters for the refrigerator section and a 20-liter ice box/freezer for short-term frozen storage.
How do I change the direction of the door opening?
The door is reversible. You can swap the hinges by following the steps in the manual: remove the door, unscrew the hinges, and reattach them on the opposite side. A set of plugs is usually included to cover the original hinge holes.
What should I do if the refrigerator is not cooling properly?
First, check that the thermostat is set to a suitable level (e.g., 3-4). Ensure the condenser coils at the back are clean and free of dust. Also verify that the door seals are intact and the door closes tightly. If the problem persists, the refrigerant system may need professional service.
How often should I clean the condenser coils?
It is recommended to clean the condenser coils at least twice a year using a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove dust and lint. This maintains optimal cooling efficiency and saves energy.
Can I install the NF60208SS under a counter?
Yes, this model is designed as a freestanding undercounter refrigerator. Ensure there is sufficient ventilation space around the back and sides (at least 5 cm) for airflow. The top and front should also be unobstructed.
What is the recommended temperature setting?
The refrigerator section should be set between 2°C and 5°C for food safety. The ice box/freezer can be set to around -6°C to -18°C depending on your needs. Use the dial inside the fridge: higher numbers mean colder temperatures.
How do I defrost the ice box?
When ice builds up, turn off the appliance and remove all food from the ice box. Place a towel in the bottom to absorb water. Leave the door open until the ice melts naturally. Do not use sharp objects to remove ice, as this can damage the evaporator.
Why is my refrigerator making unusual noises?
Normal operating sounds include a soft humming from the compressor and occasional clicking from the thermostat. Louder noises may be due to the appliance not being level, tubes vibrating against each other, or the fan hitting something (if equipped). Check that the fridge sits level and adjust the front feet as needed.
Are spare parts like shelves or door seals available?
Yes, spare parts such as glass shelves, door bins, and door seals can be ordered from authorized Stoves dealers or online retailers. Use the model number NF60208SS to ensure compatibility. For unique parts, contact Stoves customer support.
How do I clean the interior of my fridge?
Turn off the appliance and remove all food and shelves. Wash the interior with a soft cloth dipped in warm water with mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly. Clean the door seal with a toothbrush. Reassemble and turn the fridge on after cleaning.

- Spare enough space for convenient opening of the doors and drawers or statement by the distributor.

2.7 Energy saving tips

  • The appliance should be located in the coolest area of the room, away from heat producing appliances or heating ducts, and out of the direct sunlight.
  • Let hot foods cool to room temperature before placing in the appliance. Overloading the appliance forces the compressor to run longer. Foods that freeze too slowly may lose quality, or spoil.
  • Be sure to wrap foods properly, and wipe containers dry before placing them in the appliance. This cuts down on frost build-up inside the appliance.
  • Appliance storage bin should not be lined with aluminum foil, wax paper, or paper toweling. Liners interfere with cold air circulation, making the appliance less efficient.
  • Organize and label food to reduce door openings and extended searches. Remove as many items as needed at one time, and close the door as soon as possible.
