FIRST TIME USE

- Wash the cooking pot and glass lid in hot soapy water. Rinse well in clear water and dry carefully.
- Wipe the cooker body with a damp cloth containing a small amount of diluted detergent. Remove all traces of detergent with a clean damp cloth then dry thoroughly.
- Check that the voltage marked on the rating plate at the bottom of the appliance is the same as the voltage in your area.
OPERATION
- Ensure the slow cooker is stable and well-supported by the work surface.
- Wipe the exterior of the cooking pot and place it in the cooker body.
- Put the food in the cooking pot with sufficient water to ensure the food does not dry out.
- Cover the pot with the glass lid.
- Connect the slow cooker to the mains socket and switch on at the mains.
- There are four operation settings:
• OFF: Switches the slow cooker off.
- LOW: Can also be used for heating up cooked food.
• HIGH: The normal slow-cooking setting. Cooking time is around 7-8 hours.
- WARM: Keeps recently cooked food warm.

- Set the cooker to a suitable operation setting, as recommended in your recipe. The mains indicator will light up showing that the appliance now is operational.
- During Cooking:
- Occasionally check the food to ensure that there is enough liquid in the pot to avoid it boiling dry.
-
When cooking is complete:
-
Turn the temperature control to WARM if you want to keep the food warm. Do not keep food warm for more than 4 hours, because of the danger of bacteria infection.
- When the food is ready to serve, turn the temperature control to OFF and then switch off and unplug the cooker.
- Remove the pot before serving out the food.
• Always ensure that your food is hot and thoroughly cooked before serving. Under cooked or insufficiently heated food presents a health risk.
