How do I clean the ceramic hob?

Use a ceramic hob cleaner and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive sponges. Ensure the hob is cool before cleaning.

What should I do if the oven doesn't heat up?

Check that the oven is properly plugged in and the circuit breaker is on. If the problem persists, consult the manual or contact customer service.

Can I use aluminium foil in the oven?

Yes, but avoid covering the oven bottom entirely. Use foil only on baking trays to catch drips.

How do I set the timer?

Press the timer button, then use +/- to set desired time. The oven will turn off automatically when time elapses.

What is the maximum load for the hob?

Each cooking zone has a maximum power rating. Refer to the manual for specific limits. Generally, heavy pots are fine but do not exceed 10 kg per zone.

How do I activate the child lock?

Press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds. A lock indicator will appear. Repeat to deactivate.

Why is the oven fan noisy?

Some noise is normal during operation. If excessive, ensure the oven is level and not obstructed. Contact service if persistent.

What are the dimensions for installation?

The cooker requires a space 600mm wide, 600mm deep, and 850mm high. Allow at least 5cm clearance around for ventilation.

How do I replace the oven light bulb?

Disconnect power. Remove the glass cover, replace with a compatible bulb (usually 25W, 300°C). Reattach cover and restore power.

What is the energy efficiency rating?

The energy efficiency class is A for the oven and A for the hob, making it an energy-saving appliance.

Important Safeguards

U.K. Plug Wiring Instructions

The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:

BLUE NEUTRAL

BROWN LIVE

GREEN/YELLOW EARTH

As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:

The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured black. The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured red. The wire which is coloured GREEN/YELLOW must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter E or (earth symbol) and is coloured GREEN or GREEN/YELLOW.

How to use your hot plate (for one or both rings depending on model)

1. Set hot plate on a flat and level heat resistant surface.
2. Turn temperature control dial to "0".
3. Plug the unit into the wall socket.
4. Turn control dial from "0" to any selected setting. The unit will cycle on and off to regulate the temperature according to your selected setting.
5. The Heating Element will begin to heat immediately. DO NOT touch while in use, as the metal surfaces will become hot.
6. When not in use, unplug cord from wall outlet and allow to cool.

NOTES: One the SBR103, SBR203 the thermostat dial can be pressed in to make it flush with the hot plate housing. This prevents accidental adjustment of the temperature. Press again to bring control knob back out for adjusting.

CAUTION

DO NOT use pans that are unstable as this could cause an accident.

Use flat-bottom pans ONLY as they will insure full contact with heating plate which will maximise heat efficiency.

Do not drop any items on the hot plate, as this will reduce the life expectancy of the product.

When the hot plate is used for the first time there will be a small amount of smoke produced do not worry, this is perfectly normal and will stop after a short time.

Cleaning and Maintenance

1. Always unplug unit and allow to cool before cleaning.
2. Never immerse in water.
3. When cool clean hot plate with a soft, damp cloth or a non-abrasive cleaner.
4. Wipe dry.
