Frequently Asked Questions - FRMA651W Profilo

How do I set the timer on my Profilo FRMA651W oven?
Turn the timer knob clockwise to set the desired cooking time. The oven will automatically switch off when the timer reaches zero. Use the function selector and temperature knob to choose cooking mode and heat level.
Why is my oven not heating up?
Check if the oven is properly plugged in and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Ensure the function selector is set to a heat mode (e.g., conventional, fan-assisted) and the temperature knob is turned to a setting above room temperature. If the oven still doesn't heat, the heating element may be faulty.
How do I clean the oven interior?
Use a damp cloth with mild detergent to wipe the interior after each use. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive oven cleaner. Do not use steam cleaners or harsh chemicals. The enamel interior is easy to clean, but avoid using metal scrubbers.
Can I use aluminum foil in the oven?
Yes, but avoid covering the entire oven floor or allowing foil to touch the heating elements. Use foil on oven trays or to cover dishes, ensuring it does not block air circulation. Never line the oven bottom with foil as it can cause damage.
How do I activate the child lock?
The child lock feature is activated by pressing and holding the lock button (if equipped) for 3 seconds. Refer to your manual for the exact button location. When active, the control panel will be locked to prevent accidental changes.
What does the fan-assisted function do?
The fan-assisted function uses a fan to circulate hot air evenly around the oven, allowing for faster and more uniform cooking. It is ideal for baking multiple trays at once or roasting meats. This function can also help reduce cooking times by up to 20%.
Why is the oven light not working?
The oven bulb may need replacement. Ensure the oven is cool and disconnected from power. Remove the lamp cover (if any) and unscrew the old bulb. Replace with an identical oven bulb (typically 25W, 300°C heat-resistant).
How do I install the oven?
Installation should be done by a qualified technician. The oven requires a dedicated electrical circuit (see rating label). Ensure the built-in cavity dimensions are correct (approx. 590x560x550 mm). The oven must be secured with screws provided to prevent tipping.
What is the maximum baking time I can set?
The timer can be set up to 120 minutes. For longer cooking, you can manually reset the timer or use the continuous operation mode (if available) by turning the timer knob to the 'ON' position (sun symbol).
How do I troubleshoot error codes?
If the display shows an error code (e.g., E01), it indicates a malfunction. Common issues: E01 means sensor failure, E02 means overheat. Try resetting the oven by disconnecting power for 1 minute. If error persists, contact Profilo customer service.
