Check if the water tank is empty, the unit is on a level surface, and the mist nozzle is not blocked. Also, ensure the water level sensor is clean.

Does the humidifier have an automatic shut-off?

Yes, the GDH-DEH16E features an auto shut-off function that turns off the unit when the water tank is empty or if it tips over.

How long does a full tank last?

At low mist output, the 3.5 L tank can run up to 24 hours continuously. At high output, it may last around 12 hours.

Can I add essential oils to the water?

No, this model is not designed for essential oils. Adding oils may damage the ultrasonic transducer and void the warranty.

1) Make sure the plug is firmly plugged into the socket.

2) Make sure the water tank is placed in correct position. (When using the dehumidifier for the first time, if the full tank lamp is lit up, just pull out the water tank then push it back into the correct position.)

3 Full Tank Indicator

When the water tank is full, the indication lamp will light up, the dehumidifier will stop operating. Remove the water in the tank, then place the water tank back to it's proper position the machine will start operating again.

4 DEFROST

When operating in low temperatures (less than 12^ C) the surface of the evaporator will accumulate frost and effect the efficiency of the dehumidifier. When this happens the machine will go into periodic defrost mode automatically. This is quite normal. Defrost lamp will come on. Model (GDH-DEH16E) will operate in temperatures down to 5^ C. Defrost time may vary. If the dehumidifier freezes up, turn off at power supply and restart unit. If the temperature remains at a very low level, continuously outside the operational range off the dehumidifier, 5^ C to 35^ C, the unit should be switched off.

1) Put the PVC hose into the back of the closed hole, then connect the PVC hose to the front. PVC hose is not sold with this unit, but is readily available from your local hardware store.

1. Prepare PVC hose to drain out water(The hose requires an inner dia of 13mm)2. Take out the bung of the drainage outlet.	For drainage [6kDW] Back of the unit
3. Take out the soft cover, put it and tube bung into the bucket for storage.
4. Connect the PVC hose with the drainage outlet.
5. Place the bucket in its original location.	Drainage PVC hose Push bucket back into the unit toward the direction as the arrow points to←Bucket

The Proper Way To Place The Water Drainage PVC Hose When using continuous drainage, the PVC hose most be placed below the drainage hole.

MAINTENANCE

For safety reasons please make sure the dehumidifier is unplugged before cleaning.

1) Cleaning the Casing

A. Wipe the casing using soft and clean cloth.
B. Use mild detergent and a damp cloth to clean
C. Do not submerge unit in water

2) Cleaning the Air Filter

The purpose of the air filter is to filter dust or other materials in the air. clean the filter every two weeks.

Cleaning Steps

A. Pull out the filter gently.

B. Clean the filter by using a vacuum cleaner or washing with clean water. Then dry the filter with a cloth

C. Place the filter back to it's position.

If a problem occurs, unplug the machine and contact your Dimplex Service Center immediately on 0800 6662824. Do not tamper with the internal workings of the unit.
