Frequently Asked Questions - RDock-uni ARCAM

How do I connect my iPhone to the RDock-uni?
Simply insert your iPhone/iPod/iPad with a 30-pin connector into the dock. The device will automatically connect and begin charging. For playback, select the dock as the audio source on your device.
Can I use the RDock-uni with non-Apple devices?
Yes, you can connect any audio source using the 3.5mm auxiliary input on the back of the unit. Note that charging will only work with Apple devices that have the 30-pin connector.
How do I clean the speaker?
Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the surface. Avoid using any liquids, sprays, or abrasive cleaners. For the dock connector, use a soft brush if needed.
The sound is distorted. What should I do?
Check that the volume on your device is not set too high. Also ensure the dock is on a stable surface. If problem persists, try a different source device or reset the unit by unplugging it for 10 seconds.
Can I use the remote control with any device?
The remote controls basic playback functions (volume, track skip) when a compatible Apple device is docked. It may not work with auxiliary sources.
Is the RDock-uni compatible with iPhone 5 or newer?
No, the RDock-uni uses the 30-pin connector, which is not compatible with Lightning devices (iPhone 5 and later) without an adapter. However, audio can still be played via the 3.5mm auxiliary port.
What power adapter do I need?
Use only the supplied AC adapter (model: Arcam PSU-01 or equivalent). Input: 100-240V 50/60Hz. Using an incompatible adapter may damage the unit.
Can I mount the RDock-uni on a wall?
The RDock-uni is designed for tabletop use only. It does not have wall-mounting brackets. Placing it on a shelf is acceptable.
Why is my device not charging when docked?
Ensure the power adapter is firmly connected to the dock and the mains. Try cleaning the dock connector with a soft cloth. If the issue persists, the device may not be fully compatible. Note that charging may not be supported with all adapters.
How do I reset the RDock-uni?
Unplug the power adapter from the wall outlet, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in. This will reset the internal electronics.
