SettheRootPassword
Taccess the Axi product you must the password for the default administrator user of this is later the Configur Root Passworddialog, which opens when the product is accessed for the first time.
Topreventnetworkeavesdropping,therootpasswordcanbesetviaanencryptedHTTPSconnection,whichrequiresanHTTPS certificate. HTTPS(HypertextTransferProtocoloverSSL)isaprotocolusedtoencrypttrafficbetweenwebbrowsersandservers.The HTTPscertificateensuresencryptedexchangeofinformation.SeeHTTPSonpage26.
The default administrator usename root permanent and cannot be deleted the password for roots lost the product must be reset the factory default setting. See Reset factory default settings page 84.

The audiosettings can be used to adjust audio quality. You can configure the following:

Connectseveralspeakersintoazone,andmanagemusicplaylists,streams,announcements,schedulingandvolumesettings fromasinglespeaker.
Logintothespeakerthatyouwanttosetastheleaderinthezone,andconnectalltheotherspeakersasfollowers.
Aboutannouncements
Inthescheduleitispossibletooverlapyourplaylistwithpre-recordedannouncements.Itisalsopossibletodoliveannouncements whenplayingapaylist,seeVoiceoverIP(VoIP).

TheAutoSpeakerTestisatestthatcanbeinitiatedfromaremotelocationtoverifythatthespeakerisworkingasintended.The speakerplaysaseriesoftesttonesthataremeasuredbythebuilt-inmicrophone.Theregisteredtesttonesaresavedasreference valuestooptimizespeakerperformancetoitsspecificsurroundingsattheinstallationsite.
TheAutoSpeakerTestmustbecalibratedduringfirsttimeusefromitsmountedpositionattheinstallationsite.Ifthespeakeris movedorifitslocalsurroundingschange,forexample,ifawallisbuiltorremoved,thespeakershouldbere-calibrated.
Note
During calibration, it is recommended that someone is physically present at the installations, it is to be a list of the test tones and ensure that the test tones are not muffled or blocked by any unintended obstructions in the speaker's acoustic path.

Note
Evenify you choosetonotenable SIP, you can configure the SIP settings. But remember that when SIP is disabled, you cannot make or receive calls.

Without SIP-specific port forwarding, users of clients within the same private network would be able to talk to each other but users of clients in different networks would not.

SessionTraversalUtilitiesforNAT(STUN)
SessionTraversalUtilitiesforNAT(STUN)isaclient-servernetworkprotocolthatenablestheproducttoaskaSTUNserverontheInternetforamappedpublicIPaddress.TheSTUNserverresponseincludesthisIPaddressandportsothattheclientcanusetheminitsSIPmessagestotherhostsandclients.
LikeTURN, STUNcanbeusedinfull-cone, address-restrictedcone, and port-restrictedcone NAT setups. STUNisfast because it is lightweight. However, STUN does not allow incoming messages from symmetric NATs, and it cannot communicate with a peer behind the same NAT device.

IPv4AddressConfiguration
Bydefault,theAxisproductissettouseIPv4(IPversion4)andtoobtaintheIPaddressautomaticallyviaDHCP.TheIPv4settingsare configuredunderSystemOptions>Network>TCP/IP>Basic.
DHCP(DynamicHostConfigurationProtocol) allows network administrator stocentrally manage and automate the assignment of IP addresses. DHCP should only be enabled if using dynamicIP address notification, or if the DHCP can update a DNS server. It is then possible to access the Axis product by name (hostname).
If DHCP is enabled and the product cannot be accessed, run AXISIPUtility to search then network for connected Axis products, or reset the product that factory default settings (see page 34) and perform then installation again.

Link-LocalAddress enabled default and assign the Axiproduct additionaladdress which can be used to access the product from other host sonthesamesegment on the local network. The product can have a Link-LocalIPandastic or DHCP-suppliedIPaddressatthesametime.
This function can be disabled under System Options Network TCP/IP Advanced.
HTTP
The HTTP port used by the Axisproduct are changed under SystemOptionsNetworkTCP/IPAdvanced addition the default setting, which is 80, any port in therange 1024-65535 can be used.
