Frequently Asked Questions - HP-3000E AIRLIVE

What operating systems are supported by the AirLive HP-3000E?
The HP-3000E supports Windows 10/8/7, Linux, and macOS. Drivers are included on the CD and can also be downloaded from the AirLive website.
How do I install the drivers for this network adapter?
Insert the driver CD into your computer and run the setup program. Alternatively, download the latest drivers from the AirLive support page and follow the on-screen instructions. After installation, restart your computer.
Is the HP-3000E compatible with PCI Express x4, x8, or x16 slots?
Yes, the HP-3000E uses a PCI Express x1 interface and is backward compatible with PCI Express x4, x8, and x16 slots. It will work at x1 speed.
What do the LED indicators on the HP-3000E mean?
The Power LED lights up when the card is receiving power. The Link/Act LED is solid when a network link is established and blinks during data activity. Off indicates no link.
Does the AirLive HP-3000E support Wake-on-LAN (WoL)?
Yes, the HP-3000E supports Wake-on-LAN. You need to enable WoL in the device properties under Windows and configure your router to send magic packets.
How can I configure the adapter for maximum performance?
Ensure you are using Gigabit Ethernet cables (Cat5e or higher). Update to the latest driver, enable Jumbo Frames (if your network supports it), and disable power-saving features in the driver settings.
Can I use this adapter in a small form factor (low-profile) case?
Yes, the package includes a low-profile bracket. Replace the standard bracket with the low-profile bracket before installing the card in a slim case.
Why is my network speed only 100 Mbps instead of 1000 Mbps?
Check the cable quality (must be Cat5e or higher), ensure the router/switch supports Gigabit, and verify that the adapter is set to Auto-Negotiation in driver settings. Try a different cable or port.
What should I do if the Link LED does not light up?
First, ensure the cable is securely connected to both the adapter and the router/switch. Try a different cable. Check if the network device is powered on and functioning. If still off, reseat the card or try a different PCIe slot.
Does the HP-3000E support Jumbo Frames?
Yes, the HP-3000E supports Jumbo Frames up to 9K bytes. Enable it in the advanced driver settings for better performance with large data transfers, provided your network equipment also supports it.

Chapter I : Introduction

1.1 Overview

The 200Mbps Powerline Ethernet Adapter allows you to connect any device which has an Ethernet port to a Powerline network. In operation, the 200Mbps Powerline Ethernet Adapter is completely transparent, and simply passes data between the Ethernet port and the Powerline network. The data transfer rate can be up to 200Mbps.

The 200Mbps Powerline Ethernet Adapter is a simple plug and play installation, no configuration or software setup required. But a Windows PC can be used for configuration when needed.
