Install the Batteries

Follow the instructions below to install batteries in the KP-DEMO-BOX-HZ2. Two 9V batteries c required (not included).

1. Open the lid of the KP-DEMO-BOX-HZ2.

2. Remove the two Philips screws in the middle of the keypad mount.

1. Remove the keypad mount to access the battery holder

2. Gently pull on the retaining clips and insert a 9V battery into each side of the holder.

3. and - indicators.

1. Snap the battery connectors onto the battery terminals.

2. Screw the keypad mount back into the box with the two Philips screws. Do not over-tig screws.

The KP-DEMO-BOX-HZ2 is now ready for the HZ2-KPCN.

Prepare the HZ2-KPCN

Follow the instructions below to prepare the HZ2-KPCN (sold separately) for mounting in the DEMO-BOX-HZ2. This step requires the included metal contacts.

1. Fully assemble the HZ2-KPCN, including the faceplate and metal bracket. For details, refer Horizon 2 Product Manual.

2. Insert a 4-pin connector (included with the HZ2-KPCN) into the middle NET port.

3. Insert the flat ends of the included metal contacts into the G and 24 terminals. The curved portion of the contacts will protrude from the 4-pin connector.

1. Place the HZ2-KPCN on the keypad mount of the KP-DEMO-BOX-HZ2. The metal contacts two devices will line up, powering the HZ2-KPCN. The HZ2-KPCN remains held in place by magnets integrated into the KP-DEMO-BOX-HZ2.

The KP-DEMO-BOX-HZ2 is now ready for operation.

Operation

Open the lid of the KP-DEMO-BOX-HZ2 to provide power to the HZ2-KPCN. Closing the lid r power.

Demo Mode

When using the KP-DEMO-BOX-HZ2, utilize the HZ2-KPCN's demo mode to showcase backlight button indicator functionality.
