* Before operating the machine, please read the following "Instructions for Safety" in the manual very carefully, and operate the machine correctly.
* Each instruction specified in the manual is very important for safety, so be sure to follow each instruction as specified.
* Attention marks and their meanings are as follows:

WARNING: Incorrect operation of machine is dangerous and can cause serious injury or death.

CAUTION: Incorrect operation of machine is dangerous and can cause injury of person or material damages.
(Note: "Material damages" means damages to buildings, furniture and effects, pets, etc.)

WARNING
** In the event of circuit breaker moving to "OFF" position, please contact the machine vendor. Switching breaker to "ON" position incorrectly or by force can cause electric shock or fire.

** Should accidents or irregular operation occur, TURN OFF the main switch and unplug from outlet. Immediately contact your machine vendor for a correct repairs. Continued operation of a faulty machine can/will cause electric shock or fire.

** For cleaning inside the ice hopper or changing blades, be sure to TURN OFF the main switch and always put on gloves while cleaning/changing blade works. Never touch blades directly. They are very sharp and can cause injury.

** Never try to disassemble or repair the machine by yourself. Always call a qualified technician. Incorrect repair will likely cause irregular operation or electric shock, fire or injury.

** Do not attempt to alter the machine in any way. It can cause electric shock or fire.

CAUTION
** Always install the machine on a stable and flat surface. Irregular or imperfect installation can cause the unit to tip or fall and is therefore dangerous.

** Install the machine in a location unaffected by occasional dripping of water. Melting ice will drip and can, therefore, drip onto things surrounding the machine.

** Keep the machine away from direct sunlight. It can cause a damage to plastic parts.

** Should the motor stop under operation, be sure to switch OFF and unplug the unit. Remove any obstacles (foreign substances such as spoons, buttons, toothpicks, etc.) from ice hopper.


** When cleaning, be sure to switch OFF and unplug the unit before doing so. Cleaning with the power or switch on is very dangerous and can cause electric shock or injury.


** Clean ice hopper before operation and keep always ice hopper/ice outlet clean. Otherwise it can cause growth of germs/bacterium and cause health troubles.


** Never use inflammable sprays near the machine and never place volatile or inflammable materials close to the machine. Sparks from the switch could possibly cause fire.


** After the day's business is finished, be sure to switch OFF and disconnect the unit to battery for safety.


** For disposal of a disused unit, please contact local disposal experts or the nearest vendor. Abandoned machines are dangerous. Treat blade on machine as a dangerous item when disposing machine.


** When you sell or give the machine to a 3rd party, make sure that this "OPERATION MANUAL" goes with the unit for safety and correct operation.

Operation
Manual

Scotch Tape
The purpose of this machine is to make shaved ice from ice cubes. Its principal design is based on 1" to 1-1/4" ice cubes.

Please be sure to observe the following to avoid electrical shock :
● Install machine on a sturdy, level and waterproof surface.
- Do not confuse terminals (plus and minus) and connect correctly.
- Keep water away from electrical portions of machine.
Attention
- When machine is not to be used for many hours, store it in a moisture-free spot after it has been completely dried.
Operating Instructions
1) Put desired amount of cube ice in top hopper and close the lid.
Note : Do not leave ice in hopper and shave out ice in hopper completely.
2) Turn blade adjustment knob counter clockwise until it comes to a stop.
3) Turn on the power switch.
4) Slowly turn the blade adjustment knob clockwise until proper ice consistency is reached.
Note : Motor starts only while the lid is closed.
For safe operation, please observe these precautions:
1) Turn on switch after closing lid.
2) Add ice cubes only when the power switch is OFF and after machine has completely stopped.
3) Ice cube level shall not exceed a line approximately 1^1/4 " below the top of the rotating hopper.
4) Load ice cubes evenly in hopper to avoid unnecessary vibration.
5) Do not use large blocks of ice.
■ To stop shaving
Turn off the power switch. Do not use the safety switch for power switch by opening / closing the lid. It could be a cause of problems.
Overload protection
The unit automatically shuts off power when the motor is overloaded. In this case, set the power switch to OFF and remove the cause before pushing the reset button.
Adjusting ice texture
For coarser shaving, turn blade adjustment knob clockwise. For finer shaving, turn the knob counter-clockwise.
Oiling
Lubrication is not necessary on this unit.
Shaving capacity
6.1 lbs./minute.
Ice cube requirements for 7 ounce portion:
● 11-12 1" cubes.
●8-9 1 ^1/4 " cubes.
Hopper capacity
●70 1" cubes.
- 50 1^1/4 cubes.
Cleaning
1) Disconnect power cord from battery. 2) Loosen the 2 white-headed screws securing the ice outlet chute. Push the chute toward the rear of the machine, so that screw heads line up with key-hole opening chute. Pull downward to remove.
3) Unscrew the 4 white-headed screws on the top cover and remove. Top cover cannot be removed unless lid is fully opened to stop position.
4) Pull out lid connecting shaft and remove lid.
5) Grip the clear plastic water-seal cover by its bottom edge and pull out and up to remove. If it is too tight to remove by hand, pry up carefully with slot-headed screwdriver.
6) Remove the screws which attach the clear plastic rotary hopper to the metal rotary hopper. Remove plastic rotary hopper.
7) Unscrew and remove the large nut which attaches metal rotary wing to the shaving case.
8) Lift metal rotary wing upward to remove.
9) Remove the 3 screws which fasten the conical shaving case and lift upward to remove.
10) Remove the 2 screws which attach shaver blade assembly, change blades.
Note : Insure that new blade tip is to the outside, so that the lettering "CHUBU --- JAPAN" is visible.

1) Disconnect power cord from socket.
2) Loosen the 2 white-headed screws securing the ice outlet chute. Push chute toward the rear of the machine, so that the screw heads line up with key-hole openings in chute. Pull downward to remove.
3) Remove the 2 screws holding the blade and take out blade. Blade is sharp - BE CAREFUL!
4) Install new blade and tighten screws which hold blade in place. Insure that blade tip is parallel to the opening of the conical shaving case. Re-assemble parts in the reverse order of the above.

Cleaning of The Exterior
Wipe with a clean dry, soft cloth. For heavy dirt, wipe with a cloth dampened with dish detergent diluted with warm water. Do not clean with harsh detergents, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.
