How do I clean the Studio-Jnr amplifier?

Use a dry, soft cloth to wipe the cabinet. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using solvents or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the amp is unplugged before cleaning.

Can I use the headphone output without a speaker connected?

Yes, the headphone output automatically mutes the internal speaker, allowing silent practice. You can also use the 1/4" line out for recording.

What type of footswitch is compatible?

A standard 2-button footswitch with 1/4" TRS jack is required. One button switches channels (Clean/Overdrive) and the other toggles reverb on/off. Ashdown recommends the FS-2 footswitch.

Why is there no sound coming from the amplifier?

Check that the power cord is securely connected and the amp is turned on. Verify the instrument cable is plugged into the input jack. Also ensure the volume and master volume knobs are turned up. If using headphones, the speaker is muted.

Can I connect an external speaker cabinet?

No, the Studio-Jnr does not have an external speaker output. It is a combo amplifier with a built-in 10" speaker.

What is the power consumption?

The amplifier consumes approximately 120W at full power. For detailed electrical specifications, refer to the back panel label near the power cord inlet.

How do I replace the fuse?

Disconnect the power cord. Locate the fuse holder next to the power inlet. Use a small flathead screwdriver to pry open the fuse drawer. Replace with the same type and rating (e.g., 1A/250V slow-blow). If the fuse blows repeatedly, consult a technician.

Is the amplifier safe to use with a voltage converter?

The amplifier is designed for the voltage specified on the rear panel (e.g., 120V or 230V). Using an appropriate voltage converter is acceptable, but ensure the converter can handle at least 150W. Do not cut or replace the power plug.

What is the recommended maintenance schedule?

Periodically check all cables and connections for wear. Keep the amplifier in a dry, dust-free environment. For internal maintenance, such as tube biasing or component replacement, contact an authorized service center.

Can I use the aux input for backing tracks?

Today people require our products to be portable yet practical, which in essence is a task of its own. When designing our new studio line we discussed a number of different ideas, but the key point what they needed to sound as good as they look...

So going back to basics we leaned upon one our tried and tested EQ sections by way of the 5 BAND EQ featured across our Rootmaster and OriginAL ranges, this EQ opens up everything you need to establish a great tone straight out of the box, with everything at 12 O'clock the NEW Ashdown Studio Range sounds as you would expect from a bass guitar warm yet articulate.
