Frequently Asked Questions - LSP-R1000P LG

How do I set up the LG LSP-R1000P wireless camera system?
Place the camera on a horizontal surface, connect the power adapter to the camera and a mains outlet, then turn it on. For the monitor, plug in the power adapter and turn it on. The system will enter Auto mode automatically.
What is the maximum range between camera and monitor?
The communication range is up to 100 feet (30 meters) indoors with typical obstacles like walls. Without obstacles, the range increases to 50-75 meters (164-246 feet).
Can I use multiple cameras with one monitor?
Yes, the system supports up to three cameras. Each camera and the monitor must have DIP switches set to the same channel (1, 2, or 3). Additional cameras must be purchased separately.
How do I charge the rechargeable battery pack?
Connect the rechargeable battery pack to the camera or monitor, then plug in the supplied power adapter. Charging time is approximately 16 hours for the camera pack and 25 hours for the monitor pack. Use only the supplied adapter.
What should I do if I get interference on the camera picture?
Ensure the camera and monitor are within range with no large obstructions. Reposition the units away from other 2.4 GHz devices like microwave ovens or wireless phones. Changing the channel via DIP switches may also help.
How does the motion detection work?

Before Installation

  • The camera must not face into direct sunlight or any bright light; as this may cause damage to the camera.
  • Avoid viewing areas where half of the area is in bright light and the other half is in darkness. All types of cameras have difficulty viewing wide variations in light levels.
  • The communication range of this device is up to 100 feet (30 m) from the Wireless System Controller in a typical home, depending on the number of obstacles. These can include metal framing, thick walls, and other wireless devices operating at 2.4 GHz. It is recommended that different positions are tried.
  • The 2.4 GHz video signals pass easily through home interior walls, but the signal may be reflected by power cables or plumbing inside the wall. The most common source of interference is microwave ovens. Try to avoid mounting the LCD monitor near a microwave oven or other source of RF interference such as a wireless phone.
