Frequently Asked Questions - Titan Ice Froggy's Fog

How do I set up the Titan Ice for the first time?
Unpack the machine and ensure all parts (machine, power cord, wireless remote with battery, manual) are included. Place on a flat, level surface. Fill the fog fluid tank with Froggy's Fog low-lying fluid and fill the ice tray with ice (leave room for lid closure). Connect to a grounded outlet with the correct voltage (100-120V). Turn on the power switch; the machine will heat up in about 4 minutes.
How do I pair the wireless remote?
Make sure Wireless mode is ON in the menu. At startup, the LCD shows 'Wireless Pairing'. Press any button on the remote before the progress bar ends. The screen will blink once when paired. Up to 5 remotes can be paired per machine during the same pairing process. To clear previous pairings, simply pair a new remote.
What type of fog fluid should I use?
Use only Froggy's Fog approved low-lying fog fluid. Never add oil, gas, perfume, or flammable substances. Water-based scent additives designed for fog machines are acceptable. Using proper fluid ensures optimal performance and prevents damage.
How do I clean the machine?
After every 40 hours of use, empty the fog fluid tank and add distilled water. Heat up the machine and run it for 10-15 minutes in a ventilated area. Then drain the water, refill with fresh fluid, and run for a few more minutes. Also clean air vents with compressed air or a soft brush. Wipe the casing with a damp cloth.
What does the 'Fog Fluid Low' warning mean?
This indicates the fluid sensor detected no fluid in the tube for about 1 minute, triggering no-fluid protection. The pump shuts off to prevent damage. Refill the fluid tank, then press STOP and then VOLUME (or DMX: set channel 1 to 0-9 then 10-255) to clear the warning. You can also turn off the fluid sensor in the menu if desired.
Can I mount the Titan Ice overhead?
No. For safety reasons, Froggy's Fog strongly recommends ground operation only. Do not rig or mount the machine overhead. Operate it on a flat, stable surface with adequate ventilation (at least 20 inches from walls).
How do I reset the circuit breaker?
If the breaker trips (machine loses power), unplug it. Let it cool for 15 minutes. Press the breaker button on the rear panel with your finger. Plug back in and resume use. If it trips frequently, check for overloads or contact service.
How do I use DMX control?
Connect a DMX cable from your controller to the 3- or 5-pin DMX input on the machine. Set the DMX starting address in the menu (1-512). The machine uses 2 channels: Channel 1 controls fog output (0-10 off, 11-255 1-100%), Channel 2 controls fan speed (0-10 off, 11-255 1-100%). Ensure the starting address allows full access to both channels.
What is the 'Auto Run Last Settings' feature?
When enabled (YES in menu), if the machine is turned off while running in standalone mode (on-device or wireless), it will automatically resume the same settings (output, fan speed, timer) when powered back on. No need to reprogram.
How should I store the machine long-term?
After cleaning, drain the ice water reservoir and keep it dry to avoid mildew. Leave fog fluid in the pump mechanism to prevent particle buildup. Store the machine in a dry, dust-free environment. Test-run monthly to maintain performance.
