WHAT IS A CERAMIC HEATER?

Ceramic heaters are fitted with ceramic plates which are attached to metal coils. Electricity passes through the coils, heating the ceramic plates, and as the ceramic continues to absorb the heat, it then releases into the air.

The main advantage of using ceramic heating technology is that it warms instantly, heating quickly. The fan also acts as a distributor for the heat, allowing for more even distribution.

SAFETY FEATURES

ThermoSecure™ Protection

Your Breville ceramic heater is fitted with a safety device that automatically switches off the ceramic heater in the event of overheating. Should this ceramic heater stop working, turn off the ceramic heater and inspect the front grille and back fan grille for blockages. Wait until the ceramic heater is fully cooled for the protection system to reset before attempting to restart the ceramic heater. If the ceramic heater fails to operate or the safety device switches off again, take the ceramic heater to an authorised Breville Service Centre for examination or repair.

SAFETY TIP-OVER CUT-OUT SWITCH

The ceramic heater comes with a safety tip-over switch fitted to the base. If the ceramic heater is accidentally tipped over, it will stop operating. Press the Power/Wi-Fi button once to commence operation.

BREVILLE the Smart Tilt Control Max LCE308 - TIPS for Amazon Alexa and Google Home/Assistants - 1

Care, Cleaning & Storage

Always ensure the main power switch is turned to the Off position, then switch off at the power outlet and unplug prior to cleaning the frame, housing, base and grilles.

To clean the housing, frame and base of the ceramic heater, wipe with a clean, dry cloth. Never use an abrasive cleaner.

To clean the grilles and remove dust that may have accumulated, use a soft, damp cloth or a vacuum cleaner using the brush attachment.

Allow to dry before operating or storing.

If the heater has collected dust or dirt inside the unit or around any elements, have the unit cleaned by a qualified service agent. Do not operate the heater in this condition.

STORAGE

When not in use, store the ceramic heater upright in a cool, clean and dry location.

HINTS & TIPS TO RETAIN HEAT

  • Don't overheat your home. The temperature of a heated room in winter should be 18-21°C.
  • Your heater will work more efficiently if you stick to Breville's recommended clearance spaces.
  • Choose the right size heater for the room type you want to heat.
  • Zone off unoccupied rooms by closing doors and only heat the main living areas. Fit window coverings like curtains to halve winter heat loss.
  • Put draft stoppers, such as a rolled up towel, at the bottom of outside doorways to keep out cold air.
  • Keep the heat in and the cold out by installing wall and ceiling insulation.
  • Avoid placing items too close to the heater (both at the front and back) for optimal air flow.
