How do I set up the electric blanket?

Connect the control unit plug to the blanket's connection socket. Place the blanket flat on the mattress, ensuring the control unit hangs outside the bed in the shoulder area. Attach the blanket using the cords, then stretch a bed sheet over it. Finally, plug the power cable into a wall socket.

What do the LED indicators mean?

The LEDs indicate heat levels: 1 LED = approx. 35-40°C, 2 LEDs = approx. 45-50°C, 3 LEDs = approx. 55-60°C.

How do I clean the electric blanket?

Unplug the blanket and disconnect the control unit. The control unit can be wiped with a damp cloth. The blanket itself can be machine washed at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Do not bleach, iron, dry clean, or tumble dry. Lay flat to dry.

Is the blanket safe for children?

Children aged 3-8 may use the blanket only with supervision and at the minimum heat level. It is not suitable for children under 3 years old, as they cannot react to overheating.

Does the blanket have an automatic shut-off?

Yes, the blanket automatically switches off after 3 hours. It also has an overheat protection system that shuts off the blanket if overheating occurs.

What should I do if all three LEDs flash and the buttons don't respond?

This indicates the connections were made in the wrong order. Unplug the power cable, disconnect the control unit from the blanket, then reconnect them properly. Finally, plug the power cable back in and press the ON/OFF button.

Can I use this blanket on an adjustable bed?

Yes, but ensure the blanket and cable are not trapped or kinked when adjusting the bed. Prior to each use, check for any pinching or folding.

Can I use the blanket with a timer or remote control?

No, the blanket must not be operated with an external timer or separate remote control system. Only use the supplied control unit.

What if the blanket overheats?

The king size electric blanket is designed for the private household use described in these instructions. It is exclusively intended for private use in dry, interior spaces and not suitable for medical/commercial use in hospitals, practices etc.

The king size electric blanket is not a medical device and is not suitable for therapeutic purposes.

Only use the king size electric blanket as described in these operating instructions. Any other use is regarded as inappropriate and may lead to material damage or even to personal injury. The king size electric blanket is not a toy. The manufacturer or retailer shall not assume any liability for losses caused by intended or improper use.

WARNING!

Electric shock hazard!

Faulty electrical installation or mains voltage that is too high may lead to electric shock.

- Only connect the king size electric blanket, if the mains voltage of the socket matches the specification on the rating plate of the control unit.

- Only connect the king size electric blanket to an easily accessible socket, so that you can disconnect the king size electric blanket from the power supply quickly in case of a malfunction.

- Do not operate the king size electric blanket, if it shows visible damage or the cables/plugs are defective or if the king size electric blanket is damp.

- If the power cable of this appliance should be damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service or a similarly qualified person, in order to avoid hazards.

- Do not open the housing of the control unit, leave the repair to specialists, in order to avoid hazards. For this, please contact a specialist workshop. Liability and guarantee claims are excluded for repairs that are carried out independently, improper connection or incorrect operation.

- This king size electric blanket may not be operated with an external time switch or separate remote-control system.

• Only use the supplied control unit for connecting the king size electric blanket. Use type GT-HUB-10-UK.
• Remove the power plug from the socket.
• if you are not using the heating function,

• The control unit and power cable must not be exposed to moisture and not immersed in water or other liquids. Electric shock hazard!

- This king size electric blanket may be used by children aged eight and above and by persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental capabilities or a lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or instructed regarding safe use of the king size electric blanket and have understood the resulting hazards. Children must not play with the king size electric blanket. Cleaning and user maintenance may not be performed by children, unless they are aged eight or older and are being supervised.

• The appliance can be used by children older than 3 years and younger than 8 years under supervision, with the control always set to the minimum temperature value.
• Supervise children to ensure that they do not play with the item.
• Children, who are younger than three years old may not use the king size electric blanket, as they are unable to react to overheating.
• The king size electric blanket may not be used by persons, who are insensitive to heat, and by other persons requiring protection, who cannot react to overheating.
• Do not leave the king size electric blanket unattended during operation.
• Do not let children play with the packaging film. They can become caught in it while playing and suffocate.

Fire hazard!

Improper handling of the king size electric blanket may result in fire.

- The control unit heats up during operation. Do not cover it up. The control unit particularly becomes very hot if you cover it with the king size electric blanket.

CAUTION!

Injury hazard!

A risk of injury exists from cables that are left lying around.

- Lay the cable so that it does not become a trip hazard. Also avoid using an extension cable. Particularly after waking up, an increased trip hazard exists from cables that are left lying around. Arrange the power cable and control unit such that neither a trip hazard nor a risk of strangulation exists.

CAUTION!

Risk of health damage!

Long use at the highest level may lead to skin irritations or discomfort.

• Always only use the king size electric blanket briefly at first and not on the highest level. Check your skin before increasing the output and period of use. For continuous use, select a low heating level (1). Long use at the highest level may lead to skin irritations, burns or heat stroke.
• Discontinue use of the king size electric blanket at once, if you find the heat to be unpleasant or painful.

NOTE!

Risk of damage!

Improper handling of the king size electric blanket may result in damage to the product.

• Before use, attach the mattress support as described in the chapter “Prepare king size electric blanket”.
• Do not switch on the king size electric blanket, if it is folded or pushed together.
• Do not trap or kink the king size electric blanket.
• Do not switch on the king size electric blanket, if it is still damp, e.g. after cleaning.
• During operation, do not place any large or heavy items, e.g. suitcases, wool blankets and quilts and bags on the king size electric blanket.
• During operation, do not place any heat sources e.g. hot water bottle, heating pad or similar on the king size electric blanket.
• Prior to each use, secure an adjustable bed or with split mattresses, ensure that the king size electric blanket or the power cable is not trapped or pushed together.
• Prior to each use, check whether the heated lower section, control unit and power cable show signs of wear or damage. If such signs exist or the king size electric blanket has been used

improperly, you must have it inspected by a specialist workshop prior to using it again. In this case, contact the service address stated on the guarantee card.

• Do not crease the appliance by placing items on top of it during storage.
• Do not pierce the king size electric blanket with needles.

- Allow the king size electric blanket to cool off completely prior to folding and storage. Do not store any objects on the blanket.

- Store the king size electric blanket in a dry place.

- The king size electric blanket must not be used when it is wet.

- This appliance is not intended for medical use in hospitals.

Check king size electric blanket and parts

1. Remove the king size electric blanket out of the packaging and check whether the king size electric blanket or the individual parts are damaged. If this is the case, do not use the king size electric blanket. Contact the manufacturer via the service address stated on the guarantee card.
2. Check whether the delivery is complete.
3. Remove the protective film from the control unit 1.
4. Remove all packaging materials.

Prepare king size electric blanket

To create the various push-fittings, proceed in the described order.

1. Connect the control unit and king size electric blanket using the plug.
2. Place the king size electric blanket flat onto the mattress.

The control unit should hang out of the bed in the shoulder area, so that it is not covered up.

Make sure that the king size electric blanket is not lying underneath the pillow.

Place it from the shoulder area to the foot area.

The foot area is marked in an appropriately coloured outline.

1. Attach the king size electric blanket to the mattress using the cords.
2. Stretch bed sheets over the king size electric blanket and mattress. The king size electric blanket must be flat and crease-free under the bed sheet.
3. Connect the power plug to a socket.

What you need to know

• The blanket has a total heating zone over the entire surface.
• There are three different heat levels.
• For a long-term use, select the lowest heat level.

Use of control unit

The number of illuminated LEDs shows the selected heating level (seen from the bottom):

1 LED = approx. 35 °C or approx. 40 °C

2 LED = approx. 45 °C or approx. 50 °C

3 LED = approx. 55 °C or approx. 60 °C

Switch on and select heat level

1. Press the ON/OFF button 6 to switch on the double electric blanket.
2. Briefly press TEMP 5 repeatedly to set the desired temperature. Observe the LED display.

Switching off

1. Press the ON/OFF button 6 to switch off blanket at a specific time.
2. Plug out the power cable in order to completely disconnect the king size electric blanket from the power supply.

• The blanket switches itself off automatically after 3 hours. If you do not want the king size electric blanket to switch back on, remove the power plug from the socket.
• The heated underblanket also switches off, if the ON/OFF button is pressed for approx. 30 seconds. This avoids overheating, in case you have e.g. accidentally sat on the remote control.

Overheating protection

If the king size electric blanket should overheat, the integrated safety system switches the blanket off automatically.

For safety reasons, the king size electric blanket can no longer be operated afterwards. In this case, contact our service centre.

Cleaning

WARNING!

Electric shock hazard!

Moisture may lead to electric shock.

• Remove the power plug from the socket before cleaning the king size electric blanket.
• Do not immerse the king size electric blanket or a cable or a plug in water or other liquids.
• Do not put the control unit in the washing machine.

NOTE!

Risk of damage!

Improper handling of the king size electric blanket may result in damage to the king size electric blanket.

- The king size electric blanket may not be dry cleaned, mangled, wrung or ironed.

1. Remove the power plug from the socket.
2. Disconnect the plug 8 from the king size electric blanket.
3. Wipe the control unit 1 clean with a slightly dampened cloth, if necessary.
4. Wind up the cords 3 and tie them together slightly.
5. Clean the king size electric blanket in the washing machine at 30\ °C . Please note the detergent and dosage details.
6. After cleaning, return the king size electric blanket to its original shape and size..
7. Lay it flat on a wash stand for drying.
8. Do not wring out the king size electric blanket and do not use any clothes pegs or similar. Do not switch on the king size electric blanket for drying!

Storage

• Only start using the king size electric blanket again, once the king size electric blanket and connection socket are completely dry.
• Allow the king size electric blanket to cool off completely prior to folding and storage.
• Only fold the blanket very loosely.
• Store the cooled-off king size electric blanket in a clean, dry place.
• Do not store any heavy items on the king size electric blanket, as they may damage the heating wires in the blanket.

Troubleshooting
