Frequently Asked Questions - GoLunch HP3000 SUNBEAM

How do I use the Sunbeam GoLunch HP3000 steamer?
Fill the water tank up to the MAX level, place your food in the baskets, stack them on the base, set the timer, and press start. The steamer will automatically shut off when the timer ends or water runs out.
What can I cook in this steamer?
You can steam vegetables, fish, chicken, dumplings, rice (in a bowl), and even reheat leftovers. It’s ideal for healthy, oil-free cooking.
How much water should I add?
Fill the water tank to at least the MIN line and not above MAX. Typical steaming times: 10-20 minutes for vegetables, 20-30 minutes for fish.
Can I steam different foods at the same time?
Yes, layer foods with longer cooking times (e.g., potatoes) in lower baskets and quicker items (e.g., broccoli) above. Ensure no strong odors mix.
How do I clean the steamer?
After unplugging and cooling, wash the baskets and lid in warm soapy water or the dishwasher. Wipe the base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
Why does the steamer turn off before the timer finishes?
The steamer has boil-dry protection. If water runs out, it shuts off automatically. Refill water and restart.
Can I use the steamer without the timer?
No, the timer controls operation. You must set a time; the steamer works only when the dial is turned past the minimum setting.
Is the plastic BPA-free?
Yes, all plastic parts that contact food are BPA-free for safe steaming.
What should I do if the steamer smells like plastic?
Before first use, rinse baskets and lid, then steam a full tank of water with a slice of lemon for 10 minutes. This eliminates any manufacturing residue.
Where can I buy replacement parts?
Contact Sunbeam customer service or check official retailers for replacement baskets, lids, or water tanks. Model HP3000 parts may be compatible with other GoLunch models.
