Frequently Asked Questions - TKM 2341 BC BEKO

How do I descale my Beko TKM 2341 BC coffee maker?
Mix equal parts water and white vinegar (or use a commercial descaling agent). Fill the water tank, run a brewing cycle without coffee grounds. Let the solution sit for 30 minutes, then run a few cycles with fresh water to rinse. Repeat every 3 months or if mineral buildup appears.
What type of filter should I use?
You can use either the included permanent filter (reusable mesh) or standard paper filters size 4. Paper filters provide a cleaner taste; permanent filters are more eco-friendly.
Why is my coffee maker dripping when I pour coffee?
The anti-drip valve may be stuck. Check that the carafe is properly placed on the warming plate. If the valve is dirty, clean it gently with a brush. If the problem persists, the valve may need replacement.
How many cups does the TKM 2341 BC make?
The water tank holds up to 1.25 liters, which brews approximately 10 cups (125 ml each). Use the water level marks on the tank to measure for fewer cups.
Can I use ground coffee directly without a filter?
No, you must use a paper or permanent filter in the filter basket. Direct contact with the basket may clog the machine and cause overflow.
How do I clean the glass carafe?
Wash the carafe with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. For stubborn stains, use a mixture of baking soda and water or a bottle brush. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can scratch the glass.
The coffee tastes burnt. What should I do?
Burnt taste often results from over-extraction or keeping coffee on the warming plate too long. Try using a coarser grind, reduce brew time, or turn off the keep-warm function after 30 minutes.
What is the power consumption of this coffee maker?
The rated power is 1000 W at 220-240 V. It operates at 50/60 Hz. Always use a properly grounded outlet.
Is the carafe dishwasher safe?
The glass carafe is dishwasher safe, but we recommend hand washing to preserve the markings and prevent breakage. Place it on the top rack if using a dishwasher.
How do I replace the permanent filter?
The permanent filter is a mesh cone that sits in the filter basket. To replace, simply remove the old one and insert a new compatible size 4 permanent filter. They are available from Beko or third-party sellers.
