Safety precautions and recommendations detailed here must be fully understood and followed to reduce the risk of injury, fire, explosion, electrical hazard, and/or property damage.
Safety information presented here is generic in nature – some advice may not be applicable to every product. The term "equipment" refers to the product, be it electrical mains powered, battery powered or combustion engine powered.
- Before Use - If you are not familiar with the safe operation/handling of the equipment or are in any way unsure of any aspect of suitability or correct use for your application, you should complete training conducted by a person or organization qualified in safe use and operation of this equipment, including fuel/electrical handling and safety.
- Do NOT operate the equipment in flammable or explosive environments, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust. The equipment may create sparks or heat that may ignite flammable substances.
- Keep clear of moving parts.
- Equipment may be a potential source of electric shock or injury if misused.
- Do NOT operate the equipment if it is damaged, malfunctioning or is in an excessively worn state.
- Do NOT allow others to use the equipment unless they have read this manual and are adequately trained.
- Keep packaging away from children - risk of suffocation! Operators must use the equipment correctly. When using the equipment, consider conditions and pay due care to persons and property.
General Work Area Safety
• Work areas should be clean and well it.
- Do not operate the equipment if bystanders, animals etc are within operating range of the equipment or the general work area.
- If devices are provided for connecting dust extraction / collection facilities, ensure these are connected and used properly. Dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.

General Personal Safety
- Wear appropriate protective equipment when operating, servicing, or when in the operating area of the equipment to help protect from eye and ear injury, poisoning, burns, cutting and crush injuries. Protective equipment such as safety goggles, respirators, non-slip safety footwear, hard hat, hearing protection etc should be used for appropriate equipment / conditions. Other people nearby should also wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery, which can be caught in moving parts. Keep hair and clothing away from the equipment.
- Stay alert and use common sense when operating the equipment. Do not overreach. Always maintain secure footing and balance.
- Do not use the equipment if tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.
- This equipment is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities.
General Fuel Safety
- Petrol/fuel/gasoline is extremely flammable – keep clear of naked flames or other ignition sources.
- Do not spill fuel. If you spill fuel, wipe it off the equipment immediately – if fuel gets on your clothing, change clothing.
- Do NOT smoke near fuel or when refuelling.
• Always shut off the engine before refuelling. - Do NOT refuel a hot engine.
- Open the fuel cap carefully to allow any pressure build-up in the tank to release slowly.
• Always refuel in well ventilated areas. - Always check for fuel leakage. If fuel leakage is found, do not start, or run the engine until all leaks are fixed.
General Carbon-Monoxide Safety
- Using a combustion engine indoors CAN KILL IN MINUTES. Engine exhaust contains carbon-monoxide – a poison you cannot smell or see.
- Use combustion engines OUTSIDE only, and far away from windows, doors, and vents.
General Equipment Use and Care
- The equipment is designed for domestic use only.
- Handle the equipment safely and carefully.
- Before use, inspect the equipment for misalignment or binding of moving parts, loose components, damage, or any other condition that may affect its operation. If damaged, have the equipment repaired by an authorised service centre or technician before use.
- Prevent unintentional starting of the equipment - ensure equipment and power switches are in the OFF position before connecting or moving equipment. Do not carry equipment with hands or fingers touching any controls. Remove any tools or other items that are not a part of the equipment from it before starting or switching on.
- Do not force the equipment. Use the correct equipment for your application. Equipment will perform better and be safer when used within its design and usage parameters.
- Use the equipment and accessories etc. in accordance with these instructions, considering working conditions and the work to be performed. Using the equipment for operations different from those intended could result in hazardous situations.
- Always keep equipment components (engines, hoses, handles, controls, frames, housings, guards etc) and accessories (cutting tools, nozzles, bits etc) properly maintained. Keep the equipment clean and, where applicable, properly lubricated.
- Store the equipment out of reach of children or untrained persons. To avoid burns or fire hazards, let the equipment cool completely before transporting or storing. Never place or store the equipment near flammable materials, combustible gases, or liquids etc.
- The equipment is not weather-proof, and should not be stored in direct sunlight, at high ambient temperatures or locations that are damp or humid.
- Do not clean equipment with solvents, flammable liquids, or harsh abrasives.
- For specific equipment safety use and care, see Equipment Safety.
General Electrical Safety
- Inspect electrical equipment, extension cords, power bars, and electrical fittings for damage or wear before each use. Repair or replace damaged equipment immediately.
- Ensure all power sources conform to equipment voltage requirements and are disconnected before connecting or disconnecting equipment.
- When wiring electrically powered equipment, follow all electrical and safety codes.
- Wherever possible, use a residual current device (RCD).
- High voltage / high current power lines may be present. Use extreme caution to avoid contact or interference with power lines. Electrical shock can be fatal.
General Electrical Safety
- Electrically grounded equipment must have an approved cord and plug and be connected to a grounded electrical outlet.
- Do NOT bypass the ON/OFF switch and operate equipment by connecting and disconnecting the electrical cord.
- Do NOT use equipment that has exposed wiring, damaged switches, covers or guards.
- Do NOT use electrical equipment in wet conditions or in damp locations.
- Do NOT use electrical cords to lift, move or carry equipment.
- Do NOT coil or knot electrical cords, and ensure electrical cords are not trip hazards.
General Service Information
- The equipment must be serviced or repaired at authorised service centres by qualified personnel only.
- Replacement parts must be original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to ensure equipment safety is maintained.
- Do NOT attempt any maintenance or repair work not described in this manual.
- After use, the equipment and components may still be hot – allow the equipment to cool and disconnect spark plugs and/or electrical power sources and/or batteries from it before adjusting, changing accessories, or performing repair or maintenance.
- Do NOT adjust while the equipment is running.
- Perform service-related activities in suitable conditions, such as a workshop.
- Replace worn, damaged or missing warning/safety labels immediately.
Product Safety
- When using electrical products, basic safety precautions should always be followed.
- Use only with the supply voltage specified on the rating plate of the heater.
- Children younger than 3 years old should be kept away from the product unless continuously supervised.
- Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years should only switch on/off the product if it has been placed or installed in its intended operating position and they have been given adequate training or instruction concerning the use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years should not plug in, regulate, or clean the appliance or perform any maintenance. - Children aged from 8 years and people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge can use this appliance, only if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product
• This product is not a toy. - This product contains no user serviceable parts. If the power supply cord, plug or any part of the product is malfunctioning or if it has been dropped or damaged, only a qualified electrician should carry out any repairs.
- Improper repairs may place the user at risk or harm
- Keep the product and its power supply cord out of the reach of children.
- Keep the product and its power supply cord away from any heat or sharp edges that could cause damage.
- Keep the power supply cord away from any parts of the product that may become hot during use.
- Keep the product away from other heat emitting products.
- Keep furniture, curtains, and other flammable material at least 1 meter away from the product.
- Do not run the supply cord under carpets, rugs etc. or anywhere where it may present a trip hazard.
- Do not immerse the product or plug in water or any other liquid.
- Do not operate the product with wet hands.
- Do not use this product in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or swimming pool.
- Do not leave the product unattended whilst connected to the mains power supply or when in use.
- Do not remove from the mains power supply by pulling the cord, switch off and remove the plug by hand.
- Do not use this product for extended periods of time.
- Do not use the product for anything other than its intended use.
- Do not cover this product.
- Do not block the air intake of the product, place in an open well-ventilated area.
- Do not use this product outdoors.
- Do not attempt to move the product whilst it is in use.
- Do not touch the product during use, as it can get very hot and could cause injury.
- Do not use the product with a programmer, timer, separate remote-control system, or any other device that will switch the product on automatically, as there is a risk of fire if the heater is covered of positioned incorrectly.
- Do not clean the product with abrasive chemicals or materials such as scourers as they may damage the product and impair future function.

Do not lift the product by the front panel.

The product should be used on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- The product must not be located immediately below or next to a mains power supply.
• Always unplug the product after use and before any cleaning or maintenance.
• Always ensure that the product has cooled fully after use before any cleaning or maintenance. - Never use accessories that are not recommended or supplied by the manufacturer; it could cause danger to the user and damage to the product.
- Use of an extension cord with the product is not recommended.
- This product is intended for domestic use only; it should not be used for commercial purposes.
- CAUTION: Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention must be given where children and vulnerable people are present. Hot surface -do not touch the hot section or heating components of the product
- WARNING: To avoid overheating, do not cover the product. This product is not equipped with a device to control the room's temperature Do not use this product in small rooms whilst occupied by persons incapable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided.
- Normal voltage is still present in this product if the product is connected to the electrical source, always unplug the product when not in use.
- To avoid a hazard, due to inadvertently tripping the thermal cut out. This appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device such as a timer, nor should it be connected to a circuit this is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
Battery Safety (Remote Control Only)
- Check that the battery compartment is secure
- Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as those recommended should be used with this product
- Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity
- Replace a full set of batteries at any one time.
- Remove any batteries from the product when it is not being used for a long period of time to avoid leakage
- Exhausted batteries should be removed from the product to avoid leakage and disposed safely.
- In the event of batteries leaking, do not allow any liquid to come into contact with the skin or eyes. If contact has been made, Wash the affected area with copious amounts of water and seek medical advice. Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
• Non-rechargeable batteries should not be recharged. - Rechargeable batteries must be removed from the product before being charged.
- Rechargeable batteries should only be recharged under adult supervision.
- The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
- Do not expose and dispose of batteries in a fire as they may explode.
- Do not crush, puncture, dismantle or otherwise damage the batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon zinc) and rechargeable batteries (nickel hydride).
- Do not subject the batteries to mechanical shock.
- Do not dispose of batteries in household waste
- To dispose of any batteries, take them to a local recycling station
- Contact the local government offices for details.
- This product requires a CR2025L button cell battery (included).
WARNING! KEEP BUTTON BATTERIES OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
- SWALLOWING MAY LEAD TO SERIOUS OR FATAL INJURY IN AS LITTLE AS 2 HOURS DUE TO CHEMICAL BURNS AND POTENTIAL PERFORATION OF THE OESOPHAGUS.
- NEVER ALLOW CHILDREN TO REPLACE BUTTON BATTERIES OF ANY DEVICE.
- IF YOU SUSPECT YOUR CHILD HAS SWALLOWED OR INSERTED A BUTTON BATTERY, IMMEDIATELY CALL THE 24-HOUR POISONS INFORMATION CENTRE ON 13 11 26 (AUSTRALIA).
- REGULARLY EXAMINE DEVICES AND MAKE SURE THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT IS CORRECTLY SECURED. E.G., THAT THE SCREW OR OTHER MECHANICAL FASTENER IS TIGHTENED. DO NOT USE IF COMPARTMENT IS NOT SECURE.
- DISPOSE OF USED BUTTON BATTERIES IMMEDIATELY AND SAFELY OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. A BATTERY CAN STILL BE DANGEROUS EVEN WHEN IT CAN NO LONGER OPERATE THE DEVICE.
- TELL OTHERS ABOUT THE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH BUTTON BATTERIES AND HOW TO KEEP THEIR CHILDREN SAFE.
Thermal cut-out Device
- The wall-mounted fireplace is fitted with a thermal safety cut-out device built in to prevent it from overheating, should it start to overheat, the thermal safety cut-out system will automatically operate, and the heat settings will switch off. If this happens:
- STEP 1: Switch off the fireplace using the on/off switch
- STEP 2: Check that the fireplace is unplugged from the mains power supply and allow it to cool for approx. 15 minutes
- STEP 3: Clear any blockages present on the vent, being careful not to damage the fireplace.
- STEP 4: Plug in and switch on the fireplace at the mains power supply
- Caution: To avoid a hazard, due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out. this fireplace must not be supplied through an external switching device such as a timer or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the product.
Care and Maintenance
- Always unplug the wall-mounted fireplace from the mains power supply and allow it to cool sufficiently before performing any cleaning or maintenance.
- Wipe the exterior of the wall-mounted fireplace with a soft, clamp cloth and allow to dry thoroughly.
- Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning solvents or scourers, as they may damage the finish of the wall-mounted fireplace.
- The glass panel should be cleaned carefully with a soft cloth; do not use polishes or abrasive materials.

Advice Before Fitting
- Please retain all the packaging until all the parts and the contents of the fixing pack have been checked and counted against the parts list.
- The fixing pack contains small items, which should be kept away from young children.
- It is suggested that all the fixing pack contents are placed into a container, to reduce the risk of losing any small pieces.
Installation Guide
Do not connect the fireplace to the mains power supply until all the instructions have been read, fully understood and the fireplace has been properly and securely fitted. The minimum safe distances must be observed.
NOTE: Installation of the fireplace should be carried out by two people to avoid injury, damage to property or to the fireplace. The fireplace must only be operated on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
CAUTION: Do not lift the product using the glass panel.
- Place the fireplace onto a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface at least 1 metre away from any furniture, curtains, or any other flammable materials.
- If you are positioning the fireplace in an alcove, make sure that there is at least 600mm of space above and 200mm of space on each side to guarantee good air circulation.
- The fireplace must not be located over a mains power socket. The mains power socket must always be accessible to disconnect the fireplace from the mains power supply before cleaning or maintenance.
NOTE: When using the fireplace for the first time, a slight odour may be emitted. This is normal and will soon subside. Allow for sufficient ventilation around the fireplace.
IMPORTANT: The top of the heater must be at least 600mm away from the ceiling or other objects. The sides of the heater must be at least 200mm away from side walls or other objects. The bottom of the heater must be at least 300mm away from the floor. A distance of 600mm from bottom of heater to floor is recommended for optimum viewing.

Wall-Mounting the Fireplace
The fireplace is designed to be permanently mounted on a wall at a minimum height of 300mm. The wall bracket must be mounted horizontally, and the power cord routed to the right base of the fireplace.
Prior to mounting the fireplace to the wall, check if the wall can support the weight of the fireplace.
- Check if the fireplace is switched OFF and unplugged from the mains power supply.
- Open the fixing pack and place all of the contents into a container. This will reduce the risk of losing any small pieces.
- Place the wall bracket against the wall that it will be mounted, making sure that the tilting side is at the top. Using a pencil, mark the position of the 5 screw holes onto the wall. The markings must be level and observe the recommended fixing dimensions.

- Secure the wall bracket into the wall plugs position using the 40mm screws.

Top Rear Ledge
- Mark the positions on the wall for the bottom wall bracket holes. Carefully remove the fireplace, drill the holes, and insert the remaining 2 wall plugs as shown in step 4 above.
- Re-attach the fireplace to the wall and use the remaining wall screw to secure the bottom wall bracket to the wall.

CAUTION: Before drilling into the mounting wall, check that there are no live electrical wires, water, or other utility pipes. These may cause serious damage or injury.
WARNING: Do not use the fireplace if the glass panel is damaged.
Operation

WARNING: This product may heat surfaces around it. Heat may be projected in any direction. Keep away from any surface that could be affected by heat.
Using the Fireplace
The fireplace can only be operated using the remote control provided or the touch LED control panel on the front of the fireplace.
- Plug in the fireplace to the mains power supply and switch ON (underneath the front of the unit).
- Switch ON the fireplace using the ON/OFF switch located on the fireplace main unit.
- Press the power button on the remote control or the control panel; the fireplace will beep to indicate that it is switched ON.
- To turn ON the flame effect, press the LED light button on the remote control or control panel. The bowl and fireplace will illuminate. Cycle through the five flame effects by pressing the LED light button again.
- Activate the heat function by pressing the heat button on the remote control or the mode button on the control panel. Determine the desired temperature by using the increase and decrease buttons on the control panel.
- Activate standby mode by pressing the power button on the remote control or on the control panel. Switch OFF the fireplace completely using the ON/OFF switch on the fireplace main unit.
NOTE: The heat function will automatically switch OFF when the room temperature reaches the temperature set by the fireplace. The heat function will re-activate when the room temperature falls below the temperature set by the fireplace.
Heating Modes
There are seven different heat mode settings on the fireplace, press the Mode button to switch between the different heat mode settings.

Comfort Mode

- Press the Mode button once to activate Comfort Mode.
- Use the increase and decrease buttons on the control panel to increase/decrease the set temperature. The temperature can be set between 10 and 35°C.
NOTE: The heat function will automatically switch OFF if the set temperature is higher than the room temperature.
Eco Mode

- Press the Mode button until the Eco icon appears on the digital display.
- Use the increase and decrease buttons on the control panel to increase/decrease the set temperature. The temperature can be set between 7 and 32°C.
NOTE: The heat function will automatically switch OFF if the set temperature is higher than the room temperature. The set temperature in ECO mode will always be 3^ C less than Comfort Mode.
Anti-Freezing Mode

Press the Mode button until the Anti-Freezing icon appears on the digital display.
NOTE: The set temperature in anti-freezing mode is fixed at 7^ C and cannot be changed.
Setting PI Automatic control Mode PI
- Press the Mode button until the P1 icon appears on the digital display.
- In P1 mode, press the Set Up button to edit the heat setting for each hour.
- The schedule will start to flash. Press the mode button to change the setting (for each hour) to either Comfort, Eco, or Anti-Freeze mode.
- Press the increase button to go to the next hour or press the decrease button to go to the previous hour.
- Once all of the heat settings have been selected, press the Set Up button to confirm.
Setting P2 Automatic Control Mode P2
P2 automatic control system contains two group schedules:
• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- Saturday, Sunday
1. Press the Mode button until the P2 icon appears on the digital display.
2. In P2 mode, press the Set Up button to edit the heat setting for each hour for the Monday-Friday schedule.
3. The schedule will start to flash. Press the Mode button to change the setting (for each hour) to either Comfort, Eco, or Anti-Freeze mode.
4. Press the increase button to go to the next hour or press the decrease button to go to the previous hour.
5. Once all of the heat settings have been selected, press the Set Up button to confirm. This will take you to the Saturday-Sunday schedule.
6. Repeat steps 1-4 above for the Saturday-Sunday schedule and press the Set Up button to confirm the P2 automatic control system.
Select P3 Automatic Control Mode P3
Different heat setting schedules can be set differently for each day of the week (seven schedules).
- Press the Mode button until the P3 sign appears on the digital display
- In P3 mode, press the Set Up button to edit the heat setting for each hour for the Monday Schedule.
- The schedule will start to flash. Press the mode button to change the setting (for each hour) to either Comfort, Eco, or Anti-Freeze mode.

Press the increase button to go to the next hour or press the decrease button to go to the previous hour.

Once all of the heat settings have been selected, press the Set Up button to confirm. This will take you to the Tuesday Schedule.
- Repeat steps 1-5 above to set a schedule for each of the seven days and press the Set Up button to confirm the P3 automatic control system.
Setting the Current Time
- Press and hold down the Set Up button for 3 seconds.
- The current hour setting will flash. Press the increase button or decrease button to change the hour setting. Press the Set Up button to confirm.
- The current minute setting will flash. Press the increase button or decrease button to change the minute setting. Press the Set Up button to confirm.
- The current day setting will begin to flash. Press the increase button or decrease button to change the day setting. Press the Set Up button to confirm.
NOTE: When the power switch is turned OFF, the time will reset to the default settings.
Open Window Setting
- Press the open window button on the digital display to activate open window function. Press it again to turn OFF the open window function.
- If the room temperature decreases by 2^ C in two minutes, the open window function will activate, and the fireplace will switch OFF.
Lock Function
The heater will be locked automatically without any operation within 1 minute, then press the Set Up button and LED flame effect button on the control panel simultaneously for 3 seconds to unlock.
Press and hold both the LED flame effect button and power button for 5 seconds to restore factory settings.
Battery Replacement
The remote control requires x CR2025 battery (included). If the battery becomes exhausted:
- Locate the battery compartment: this is situated on the back of the remote control.
- To open the battery compartment, slide the battery cover down and remove it.
- Carefully remove the exhausted batteries and dispose of them, following local disposal laws.
- Place the new battery into the slot of the battery compartment, observing the correct polarity.
- Slot the battery cover back onto the remote control.
NOTE: The battery compartment must be secured before use.
Maintenance
- Always unplug the wall-mounted fireplace from the mains power supply and allow it to cool sufficiently before performing any cleaning or maintenance.
- Wipe the exterior of the wall-mounted fireplace with a soft, clamp cloth and allow to dry thoroughly.
- Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning solvents or scourers, as they may damage the finish of the wall-mounted fireplace.
• The glass panel should be cleaned carefully with a soft cloth; do not use polishes or abrasive materials.
