Frequently Asked Questions - HSH1500 Heller

How do I adjust the temperature on my Heller HSH1500 heater?
Turn the thermostat dial clockwise to increase the temperature and counterclockwise to decrease it. The heater will maintain the set temperature automatically.
Is the HSH1500 safe to leave unattended?
The heater has built-in safety features such as overheat protection and a tip-over switch. However, as with any electrical appliance, it is recommended not to leave it unattended for long periods, and always turn it off when leaving the room.
What does the 'tip-over switch' do?
The tip-over switch automatically shuts off the heater if it is accidentally knocked over, preventing potential fire hazards.
Can I use the HSH1500 in a bathroom?
No, the HSH1500 is not designed for use in wet areas like bathrooms. It should only be used in dry, indoor spaces.
How do I clean the heater?
Unplug the heater and allow it to cool completely. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. For the air intake grille, you can use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to remove dust.
Why does the heater turn off by itself?
This could be due to the built-in overheat protection if the heater is covered or airflow is blocked, or if the thermostat has reached the set temperature. Ensure the heater has adequate space around it for ventilation.
What is the power consumption of the HSH1500?
The heater has a maximum power consumption of 1500 watts on the high setting. The low setting consumes around 1000 watts.
How long is the power cord?
The power cord is approximately 1.5 meters long.
Does the heater have a fan-only mode?
Yes, the HSH1500 has a fan-only mode that circulates air without heating, useful for cooling in summer.
Where can I find spare parts?

DRILLING HOLES & MOUNTING

  • Loosen and remove the screw on top and bottom of the wall mount (See Figure 3A & 3B). Take out the wall mount cover from above of the heater. (See Figure 3B).
  • When the proper location is chosen, unfold the paper drilling measured by product. Place the paper drilling measure according to the height requirement from the floor; i.e. at least 1.8m from the floor and at least 0.32m away from the ceiling. (See Figure 3C).
  • Four holes on the paper measure have been punched which locate the drilling holes for the wall mount. Mark a cross in the centre of the hole for more precise drilling. (See Figure 3C).
  • Now take away the paper measure, then drill four holes on the cross using a drill diameter of 8mm.
  • Insert the four plastic pegs provided into the holes (See Figure 3D).
  • Hold tight to the wall mount and orient the heater such that the grille faces towards you. Swing the heater all the way down. Fix the wall mount and heater to the wall by applying two supplied screws through two holes on top of the wall mount using a screw driver. (See Figure 3E). It is recommended to use shorter screwdriver in order to get into the space of the wall mount structure more easily.
  • Swing the heater on the wall all the way up, and then tighten with two screws at the bottom of the wall mount. Now the heater is securely fixed to the wall. (See figure 3F).
  • Swing the heater to the mid way of its travel. Replace the wall mount cover from the top.
  • Fasten the cover with two screws.

IMPORTANT: It is important especially during the assembly, to be careful not to touch the heating elements as this could leave spots; which would diminish the thermal radiation. After the heater is installed, the supply cord must not contact the metal enclosure when used.
