GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

- Before installing the product, make sure to place it away from: heatsources, radiators or other products that produce heat; areas with high temperatures, high humidity or direct sunlight; excess dirt and dust; open windows and any place where water may get to the unit.

- Do not immerse the cord, plug or the product in water or other liquid, or expose the electrical connections to water or other liquid.

- Unpack the product and keep the original packaging carton and materials in a safe place. It will help prevent any damage if the product needs to be transported in the future, and you can use it to store the product when it is not in use.

- The product should always be repacked in its original packaging whenever transporting to prevent any possible damage to the product.

- When not in use: Disconnect from the power source and store in a cool, dry and well ventilated location out of direct sunlight, and not subject to humidity.

BATTERIES

Charging Time: 7 hours using 1A USB charger (not included) (via the doorbell micro USB port)

Please fully charge the 18650 batteries before use. With normal use, batteries will last between 2 to 3 months.

Note:

If the doorbell captures an excessive number of events every day, this consumes battery power a lot, and you need to recharge the batteries earlier than normal. Plus, the batteries are also drained each time you use the Live View to check or speak through your doorbell. To prevent excessive events, you can adjust your motion settings to a lower sensitivity.

SETUP

MAKE SURE TO FULL CHARGE

Before installing the product into the location you want to monitor for security purposes. Make sure that your product is 100% CHARGED.

You can do this by taking off the back battery compartment lid by pushing it down and out. (A and B)

APP/Wi-Fi Control

Working with your mobile device, using your home Wi-Fi network router to communicate with your product and control it.

CONTROLLING THE SECURITY CAMERA REMOTELY IS VERY SIMPLE. YOU WILL NEED:

  • Android smartphone or tablet, or an Apple iPhone or iPad
  • Internet connection at your home
  • Wi-Fi network router set up at home.

You must also have the EKO Home App installed or updated on your smartphone or mobile device. This app is available from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

IMPORTANT

Before you can control your product remotely, you must reset the Wi-Fi module on the unit.

To do so please follow on screen or below instructions:

  1. Using the Micro USB Cable, plug USB side into a USB powered adaptor, and the Micro USB side into the back of the product.
  2. Once the product is powered, the blue light will turn on at the front, please leave as it is for up to 30 seconds. Now that the product is on, On the EKO Home app “Reset the device first” page, tick the box indicated (9) and press next.
  3. Select Wi-Fi network then enter in the password to connect. (10)

Note: Make sure to select 2.4GHz

5GHz Wi-Fi Network will not work with this app.

  1. Once Wi-Fi is entered, follow the on screen animation (11) to scan the QR code generated within your app. If you hear a Sound prompt, select the button "I Heard a Prompt".

HOME MANAGEMENT

Home management allows you to setup and create sharable access to family members. If you have already setup all your home cameras, and want a family member to access the cameras. Follow the below steps to create and share your home.

CREATING A HOME

  1. When on the dashboard, press the ME icon located on bottom right corner of the screen.

  1. As its the first time setting up your home, select the top option “HOME”.

- You will be asked to name your home.

  1. Once you have named your home, you can setup your rooms and also your location (weather purposes).

  1. HOME MEMBER - you will see a “Home Member” section, if you want to add a family member or friend to your home. Select “Add Member”.

  2. When you select “Add Member”, this will provide options to share through the EKO Account “within the app” (recommended) OR with an INVITE CODE to your family member.

Name - provide a name

Region - Australia

Account - Enter family members EKO Home Account email.

Select "Save" to send the invite.

NOTE: Family member has to download EKO HOME app and sign up to create a new account.

Add EKO HOME app to your Google Home app.

  1. Open your Google home app. (Before you link your app to your Google Home app, you will have to have a Google Home account already set up.
  2. From the home screen of the Google Home App, press ADD. Press SET UP DEVICE, then select HAVE SOMETHING ALREADY SET UP? under the WORKS WITH GOOGLE banner.
  3. Search for EKO Home.
  4. Press the EKO Home app and enter your EKO Home app account details and password. Then press SIGN IN.

  3. Enter your EKO HOME account details and password then press SIGN IN.

INSTALLING DOORBELL

Now that you have completely (100%) charged your Wi-Fi Doorbell, you can install it into the desired location.

  1. Remove the bracket and use the 2 mounting screws to fix the bracket onto the wall or door. You can also use double sided tape to fix the bracket.

If you are installing doorbell/bracket into a concrete or brick wall, use the plugs provided:

  • Measure the distance between each bracket hole and make sure to mark on the wall first. (make sure its straight, you dont want a slanted camera view).
  • Drilling a hole slightly thinner than the plug thickness and long enough in length. Then hammer in the plugs.
  • Place your bracket over the holes, using the screws. Screw your bracket into place.

  1. Place your Wi-Fi Doorbell into the mounting bracket that you have now securely installed into the wall.

  1. Now that the doorbell is in place. To secure it with a screw so it does not fall out, located at the bottom use the small allen key screw, and allen key (included) tighten the screw into place. Once doing so your Wi-Fi Doorbell will be held securely in place.
