Frequently Asked Questions - AAS01 ASUS

What is the maximum weight capacity of the ASUS AAS01 monitor arm?
For flat displays, the maximum weight capacity is 11.5 kg (25.3 lbs). For curved displays, it is 8.5 kg (18.7 lbs) due to different weight distribution.
What VESA patterns does the AAS01 support?
The monitor arm supports 100 x 100 mm VESA mounting pattern.
Can the AAS01 be used with an ultrawide monitor?
It is recommended for displays up to 34 inches. Larger monitors may be used if they do not exceed the maximum weight capacity.
How do I install the desk clamp?
Align the C-clamp properly and push it into the side of the desk. Ensure the desk surface thickness is between 10 mm and 80 mm.
How do I adjust the lift strength?
Use the adjustment screw (as shown in the manual) to set the lift tension according to your monitor’s weight. Do not overtighten or remove the screw.
Is cable management included?
Yes, the arm has a cable organizer. Gently pry it open to route or remove cables. Ensure cables have sufficient slack and are not pinched.
What is the tilt range of the mount?
The tilt range is +80° to -25° for optimal viewing angles.
Can I use the AAS01 with a curved monitor?
Yes, but the weight capacity is reduced to 8.5 kg (18.7 lbs). Follow the adjustment steps carefully.
How do I remove the monitor from the arm safely?
WARNING: Move the arm to the highest position before removing the monitor to avoid rapid upward movement due to tension.
Where can I find the product serial number?
Refer to the product label located on the arm (see manual illustration). You will need it for customer support.

Safety Information

  • Ensure to mount and assemble all the components before adjusting the position, rotation, and tilt of your monitor arm. Movement should be smooth and easy through the full range of motion and the monitor arm should stay in place once set. If this is not the case, double check that you have followed the adjustment instructions.
  • Whenever equipment is added or removed from your monitor arm, leading to a change in the weight of the mounted load, repeat the adjustments steps to ensure safe and optimal operation.
  • Ensure your mounting surface is strong and wide enough to support the monitor arm and mounted equipment.
  • Ensure the connected cables have sufficient slack to accommodate the full range of motion.
  • Ensure the connected cables are properly routed to avoid cable pinching. Cable pinching may cause damages to the monitor arm or personal injuries.
  • DO NOT exceed the listed maximum weight capacity as this may cause damages to the monitor arm and mounted equipment or personal injuries.

▲ WARNING

DO NOT remove mounted equipment from the monitor arm unless the monitor arm has been moved to the highest position. The monitor arm may rapidly move upwards when mounted equipment is removed, due to tension in the arm mechanism. This may cause severe personal injuries and damages to the equipment.
