Can I use this blower as a vacuum?
This unit is a blower/dryer, not a vacuum. It has a blower end and a suction end, but it is designed to blow air. If you need suction, you can attach the hose to the suction end, but the manual warns that if it doesn't clean, the hose may be clogged and should be blown out.
How do I clean or replace the filter?
Pull out the foam filter from the backend. You can shake it out or rinse it with water, but it must be completely dry before reinserting. Replace the filter after 3 rinses. Replacement filter part number: MVC-56F.
How do I replace the carbon brushes?
Carbon brushes (ABC-3) should be replaced after about 500 hours of use. You will need a long Phillips and long flathead screwdriver. Remove the front endcap, loosen the tab on the wire, remove the mounting bracket, install the tab into the new brush, and replace the bracket. The front motor must be removed to access the rear motor.
What is the warranty coverage?
The unit carries a 5 Year Limited Warranty on the unit and motor, and a 1 Year Warranty on parts, switches, and cords. It covers defects in materials or workmanship. Exclusions include carbon brushes, filters, general maintenance, physical damage, improper electrical connections, and water damage. Customer pays shipping to/from facility.
Can I mount the blower on a wall?
Yes, the MB-3INDWB comes with a wall mount bracket. Secure the bracket to the wall using mollies or into a stud. Hang the blower by the wheel axle on the intake side onto the bracket.
What are the power specifications?
The unit operates at 18 Amps and 2280 Watts with a 12-foot grounded cord. It has two 4.0 Peak HP motors delivering 229 CFM and 58500 FPM air volume.
What accessories are included with the MB-3INDWB?
The package includes a 10 ft commercial hose, wall mount bracket, and stationary wheels. No additional nozzles are listed for this model, but accessories like the Large Blower Nozzle or Air Flare are available separately.
Is the blower safe to use outdoors?
The manual warns not to use on wet surfaces or expose to rain. It should be stored indoors. The plug is polarized, and the unit must be grounded. Keep away from water to avoid electric shock.
How do I obtain replacement parts?
Replacement parts can be purchased at www.MetroVac.com. Common parts include foam filters (MVC-56F), hoses (MVC-56D or MVC-56MB-30), carbon brushes (ABC-3), mounting bracket (MVC-331), and motors (MVC-157D). Contact MetroVac at 800-822-1602 for support.
