Frequently Asked Questions - ITC-312 Inkbird

How do I connect the ITC-312 to the INKBIRD app?
Open the INKBIRD app, tap '+' in the top right corner, and follow the in-app instructions. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the device is in connecting mode (short press the rotary knob if needed). The device must be as close to your phone as possible during connection.
What should I do if the display shows '1E'?
The '1E' error indicates the clock needs synchronization. Log into the INKBIRD app and connect the controller to sync the clock. This may occur after first use or if the controller has been unplugged for more than 10 days.
How do I calibrate the temperature probe?
Enter the setting mode, navigate to 'CA' (Calibration), and adjust the value between -4.9°C and 4.9°C (-9.9°F to 9.9°F) to match a known accurate thermometer. Clean the probe before calibration for best results.
How can I turn off the high/low temperature alarm sound?
On the device: enter setting mode, select 'AS' (Alarm sound), and set to OFF. Via the app: go to Settings > Device > Device Alarm Sound and toggle OFF.
What is the maximum load for the outlets?
Each outlet is rated for 120Vac, 60Hz, 10A, with a total combined power of 1200W (120Vac). Do not exceed these ratings to avoid fire hazards.
Why is my temperature probe reading incorrect?
Clean the stainless steel part of the probe with a dry cloth. If moisture is suspected, use a hairdryer to dry the probe completely (device unplugged). Also check that the probe is not damaged.
Can I set different temperatures for day and night?
Yes, select 'Day/Night Mode' in the app. You can set two target temperature ranges: one for day and one for night, each with its own heating and cooling setpoints.
How do I set the refrigeration delay?
During initial app setup or later via the app settings, you can set a refrigeration delay (in minutes) to prevent the cooling device from restarting too quickly after being switched off. This helps protect the compressor.
What should I do if the screen freezes or the controller is unresponsive?
Unplug the controller and plug it back in to reboot. If the problem persists, contact Inkbird customer support.
How do I test the heating and cooling outputs?
Unplug the controller, connect a heating/cooling device (within rated power), press and hold the SET button while plugging in, release SET. Then turn the knob left for heating symbol (output on) or right for cooling symbol to test each output.
