Frequently Asked Questions - TM-4011DP Posiflex

How do I connect the TM-4011DP monitor to my POS terminal?
First, ensure the POS terminal is powered off. Connect the DP cable from the monitor to the terminal's DP port, and the power cable from the monitor to the terminal's VGA port (which supplies 12V power). For touch functionality, also connect the USB Type B cable between the monitor and terminal. Then power on the terminal.
How do I set up the TM-4011DP as a secondary touchscreen monitor in extended mode?
Go to Control Panel > Display Settings and set the display to extended mode. Then open Tablet PC Settings and click Setup. Follow the on-screen instructions: first touch the primary display, then press Enter to proceed, and finally touch the secondary display (TM-4011DP) to identify it as the touchscreen.
What is the recommended display resolution for the TM-4011DP?
The recommended native resolution is 1280 x 800 at 60 Hz. Using other resolutions may cause an 'out of range' warning or improper display.
How do I clean the touchscreen?
Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild glass cleaner. Do not use abrasive cleaners or spray directly on the screen. Gently wipe the surface. For the P-CAP touch panel, avoid excessive pressure.
Can I mount the monitor on a wall or arm?
Yes, the rear has VESA-mount screw holes. Use the provided mounting kits to attach to a VESA-compatible arm or bracket. Ensure the mount can support the monitor's weight (approx. 1.5 kg).
Where can I download drivers for the TM-4011DP?
Drivers are available on the Posiflex official website at http://download.posiflex.com/en-global/Download/download. Look for drivers specific to your model and operating system.
What safety precautions should I take?
Do not open the monitor; warranty voids if opened by unauthorized personnel. Use only with Posiflex terminals that supply 12V via VGA port. Avoid using in locations where children may be present. Follow all instructions in the manual to prevent damage or hazards.
What does the status LED indicate?
The Status LED on the bottom edge indicates power state: typically solid blue or green when powered on, and off when off. Refer to the manual for exact behavior.
The monitor shows 'out of range' – what should I do?
This means the current display resolution or refresh rate is not supported. Set the resolution to 1280 x 800 at 60 Hz via your computer's display settings. If the issue persists, try a lower resolution like 1024 x 768.
Is the TM-4011DP compatible with other POS terminals?
It is designed for Posiflex RT-series terminals that supply 12V over VGA. For other terminals, ensure they provide 12V power and have a VGA or DP output. Touch functionality requires USB connection and driver support.
