What is the WilTec 50947 used for?
The WilTec 50947 (CUF-6000) is a submersible UV clarifier with an integrated pump, designed to clarify water in ponds and aquariums by destroying bacteria, pathogens, and floating algae using UVC radiation.
How deep can the device be submerged?
The device can be submerged up to a maximum depth of 2 meters below the water surface. Ensure it is completely underwater before operation.
What should I do if the device runs dry?
Running the device dry can cause irreparable damage and voids the warranty. Always ensure the device is fully submerged before switching it on.

Can I use the device without the fountain attachment?
Yes, the fountain attachment is optional. You can run the device without it for simple water circulation.
What safety precautions should I take?
Always use a residual current device (RCD) with a rated current up to 30 mA. Never operate the UV tube outside its housing, and avoid direct water jets on electrical parts.
How do I store the device in winter?
Remove from water, clean all components, check for damage, and store in a frost-free place in a container filled with water to prevent seals from drying out.
What is the maximum water temperature for operation?
The maximum water temperature for continuous operation is 35 °C. Exceeding this may damage the device.

Operation

  1. The device is designed for use under water. Make sure that the device is completely submerged in the water. It must not be more than 2 m below the surface of the water.

  2. If the water depth is not sufficient to completely submerge the device, it must not be used. There is a risk of irreparable dry-running damage to the device.

  3. Parts of the UV lamp are made of glass; you must therefore ensure that the device does not fall or be hit hard. There is a risk of breakage.

  4. Please install all parts completely before plugging in the power plug.
