Frequently Asked Questions - TL2831 MISTRAL

Can I wash the filter with water?
No, only vacuum or brush dust deposits from the filter. Once the filter becomes wet, it will no longer filter efficiently.
Why does the air purifier emit a mechanical smell on first use?
This is normal for new units. The smell is due to internal motors and air extraction. It should disappear within a few days to a week depending on usage.
How far from the wall should I place the purifier?
For optimal air circulation, place it at least 60 cm away from walls or obstructions.
What does the filter replacement indicator light mean?
It indicates the filter has been used for approximately 3000 hours and needs replacement. After replacing, press and hold the button for 5 seconds to reset the indicator.
The filter screen has no fixing device; how does it stay in place?
The filter is automatically held in place by air pressure when the unit is running. No additional fixing is required.
I can hear the fan motor; is that normal?
Yes, especially in quiet environments. The motor emits a rhythmic sound. Using Sleep Mode reduces noise to near ambient levels.
Why won't the appliance switch on?
Ensure the base plate is properly screwed in, the DC jack is fully inserted, and the adapter is plugged into a working power outlet.
Can the purifier effectively remove smoke or odors?
Yes, but ensure the air quality sensor is clean and the filter is not obstructed. Position the unit closer to the odor source for better results.
What is the maximum room size this purifier can handle?
The CADR rating is 100 m³/h, suitable for small to medium rooms. Using it in larger rooms will still improve air quality but take more time.
How do I clean the air purifier body?
Use a dry, soft cloth. For stubborn stains, use a soft wet cloth. Never immerse in water or use volatile liquids like benzene.

Trouble Shooting

Problem/Trouble PossibleReasons/Solutions
Can the filter be cleaned with water? No, only vacuum /brush of dust deposits, once filter has become wet it will no longer filter efficiently.
Mechanical smell emitting from appliance on first use.The machine is sealed in a corrugated box or plastic sealed box. "New" odors may be emitted as a result of internal motors and air extraction. According to the specific sensitivity level, the odor should disappear in a few days or a week, depending on the usage time of the product.
Can the machine be used to purify areas exceeding the rated capacity of the machine?CADR (clean air volume) rating is measured in a specific test environment, and its performance will be affected if the environment changes. But if you use it in a room slightly larger than our rated Cadr rating, it will still help improve air quality, but it will take more time.
Where should I place this machine? To ensure air circulation, it should be placed at least 0.6m away from the wall. If there are multiple doors or narrow aisles in the area, the air flow of the air purifier may be reduced, but an effective circulation will eventually be formed around the product.
Some airborne dust particles can still be seen in reflected light.Although the appliance will absorb airborne dust particles in spaces, dust deposits moved as a result of opening doors/windows, switching on fans, ducted heating or Air conditioners will be inevitable.
The filter screen has no fixing deviceThe filter screen itself can be automatically fixed inside the product. When the machine is started, the air flowing through the machine will form pressure, which will create the sealing effect of the filter screen.
The fan motor can be heard. This is normal and not a fault with the appliance, especially when the surrounding environment is very quiet at night, you may also hear the motor rotate rhythmically and repeatedly. When the sleep mode is turned on, it almost reaches the same sound as the external environment.
Appliance won't switch On. Ensure base plate is properly fixed in place, DC jack into appliance is fully inserted and 240v adapter body is fully inserted into domestic power outlet.
Product does not effectively remove smoke or odorsCheck to ensure that the air quality sensor is not obstructed or dirty, clean with cotton bud or soft brush.Ensure filter is regularly cleaned to remove excess dust deposits.
Position appliance closer to the source of the odor.
The Filter is obstructed with excess dust, clean with vacuum or soft brush.Filter has reached its 3000 hours use limit, replace the filter.
