How do I upgrade the firmware on the LUM-430M3?

To upgrade firmware, insert a USB thumb drive with the firmware file into the USB port on the front of the monitor. Then go to the SYSTEM menu, select SW UPGRADE, and choose CPU, FPGA, or ALL. The upgrade will start automatically. After completion, turn the monitor off and on.

What video formats does the LUM-430M3 support?

The monitor supports a wide range of SDI and HDMI formats, including 12G-SDI, 6G-SDI, 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, and SD-SDI. It handles resolutions up to 3840x2160 at 60p (via 12G-SDI) and 4096x2160 at up to 60p. HDMI supports up to 3840x2160 at 60p with RGB/YCbCr 4:4:4 8-bit. See the manual for a full list.

How do I display waveform and vectorscope?

In the WAVEFORM menu, set ENABLE to ON, then choose the TYPE (Waveform, Vectorscope, or both). Adjust intensity as needed. You can also enable LINE WAVEFORM to show a single line.

How do I adjust markers on screen?

Go to the MARKER menu. Select MARKER to choose a type (e.g., 16:9, 4:3). Enable CENTER MARKER and SAFETY AREA for framing guides. Use MARKER MAT to dim the area outside the marker, and MARKER COLOR to change line color.

How do I set up closed captioning?

In the PICTURE menu, set CCAPTION to ANC (608/708) or LINE21 (608). Then in CC INFO, choose the desired channel for 608 (CC1-CC4) or service for 708 (Service 1-6).

How do I calibrate color temperature?

Go to the COLOR menu. Select TEMP to choose a preset (9300K, 6500K, 3200K) or USER mode. In USER mode, adjust GAIN R/G/B for bright areas and BIAS R/G/B for dark areas. Use COLOR COPY to copy values from another preset.

How do I use the GPI remote control?

Connect a remote control device to the REMOTE (RJ-45) port. In the GPI menu, assign functions (e.g., SDI input, marker) to pins 1-6. Pin 7 is power on/off, pin 8 is GND. The default assignments are listed in the manual.

How do I clean the monitor safely?

Unplug the power cord before cleaning. Use a damp cloth (no liquid or aerosol cleaners). Avoid cleaning near water or in wet areas. Do not block ventilation openings.

What is the High Bright mode?

The High Bright mode (available on LUM-430M3) increases screen brightness to 300 nit for better visibility in bright environments, such as multiview setups. Set it to YES in the SYSTEM menu under High Bright. When OFF, brightness is 100 nit.

How do I troubleshoot if no signal is detected?

Check that the input source is properly connected and powered on. Verify the signal format is supported (see video support resolutions). The SIG field in the SYSTEM menu shows the detected input signal. If no signal appears, try a different cable or input.

01 CAUTION

• Always use set voltage.

- AC 100 \~ 240V

• All operating instructions must be read and understood before the product is operated.
  • These safety and operating instructions must be kept in safe place for future reference.

• All operating instructions must be followed.
• Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer. Use of inadequate attachments can result in accidents.
• This product must be operated on a power source specified on the specification label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply used in your home, consult your dealer or local power company. For units designed to operate on batteries or another power source, refer to the operating instructions.
• The power cords must be routed properly to prevent people from stepping on them or objects from resting on them. Check the cords at the plugs and product.
• Do not overload AC outlets or extension cords. Overloading can cause fire or electric shock.
• Never insert an object into the product through vents or openings. High voltage flows in the product, and inserting an object can cause electric shock and/or short internal parts. For the same reason, do not spill water or liquid on the product.
• Do not attempt to service the product yourself. Removing covers can expose you to high voltage and other dangerous conditions. Request a qualified service person to perform servicing.

• Upon completion of service or repair work, request the service technician to perform safety checks to ensure that the product is in proper operating condition.
• The power cord plug shall be connected to a MAINS socket outlet with a protective earthing connection.
• Unplug the power cord from the AC outlet when happening any problem in the product.
• When mounting the product be sure to install the product according to the method recommended by the manufacturer.

01 CAUTION

• Unplug the power cord from the DC outlet before cleaning the product. Use a damp cloth to clean the product. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners.
• Unplug the power cord from the AC outlet if you do not use the product for considerably long time.
• Do not use the product near water, such as bathtub, washbasin, kitchen sink and laundry tub, swimming pool and in a wet basement.
• Keep the product away from direct rays of the Sun-light.
• Do not place the product on an unstable cart, stand, tripod or table. Placing the product on an unstable base can cause the product to fall, resulting in serious personal injuries as well as damage to the product. Use only a cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table recommended by the manufacturer or sold with the product. When mounting the product on a wall, be sure to follow the manufacturer's instruction. Use only the mounting hardware recommended by the manufacturer.
• When relocating the product placed on a cart, it must be moved with the utmost care.

• Infrared devices can cause noise or malfunction under condition as below.

• parts of the body come into contact with the infrared transmitter or acoustic device.

• Obstacles can cause electrical changes if there is a partition in the middle or in the wall.

• Exposure to radio interference from medical equipment, microwave ovens, wireless LAN devices, etc. with the same frequency band.

• Sudden stops, excessive force and uneven floor surface can cause the product to fall from the cart.

• The vents and other openings in the cabinet are designed for ventilation. Do not cover or block these vents and openings since insufficient ventilation can cause overheating and/or shorten the life of the product. Do not place the product on a bed, sofa, rug or other similar surface, since they can block ventilation openings. This product is not designed for built-in installation; do not place the product in an enclosed place such as a bookcase or rack, unless proper ventilation is provided or the manufacturer's instructions are followed.
• In case of installation the product on the rack, the inside of the product would be overheated due to heat from other devices near by and the decrease of air circulation, which could damage to the monitor. To prevent the damage, please have enough space for the monitors and use fan to avoid heat and maintain the operating temperature. (Refer to the specification of the product).
• The LCD panel used in this product is made of glass. Therefore, it can break when the product is dropped or applied with impact. Be careful not to be injured by broken glass pieces in case the LCD panel breaks.
• Keep the product away from heat sources such as radiators, heaters, stoves and other heat generating products (including amplifiers).

When using the product make sure to ground, whenever possible, before connecting the input signal cable in order to prevent any possible damage to the product or connected devices. The damage may include signal noise, malfunction of main board or display panel. And the connected devices such as camera or video source player may also be influenced through signal cable. Please check if the AC power source and the power extender or power distributor is grounded.

●The product may be controlled and set system-wise through OSD displayed on the screen. \- Below is the layout of the product's menu.

\- You may control various functions using MENU, UP, DOWN, ENTER buttons on the bottom front of the monitor and GPI CONTROLLER PC REMOTE CONTROL S/W. \- Menu Control sequence follows the order below: 1. Press the MENU button to activate the OSD menu. 2. Move to a desired menu with the UP / DOWN button. 3. Press the ENTER button to select a menu and move to a sub-menu with the UP / DOWN button. 4. Press the ENTER button to select the desired sub-menu. (The selected sub-menu's font color will be changed to blue.) 5. Press ENTER button to save the new value after adjusting the value with UP / DOWN button. [The changed font color will be returned to default(white).] 6. Press the MENU button to return to the previous menu and if there is no previous menu, the OSD menu will be removed from the screen.

- PEAK LUM (Peck Luminance)

- Used to select the Peak Luminance of the monitor. - Available options are 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 2000, 4000 and 10000. - Activates only in the User1/2/3 mode.

- BLACK LEVEL

\- The minimum black level of the video signal can be set differently depending on the performance of the monitor or the lighting environment. For example, the lowest luminance that the F-7H mk2 can display is 0.002, but it is necessary to adjust the offset level to about 0.2nit when using under bright light. - At this time, when the black level is set to 0.2, dark gradations below 0.2 nit are expressed without crushing. - Activates only in the User1/2/3 mode.

•COLOR GAMUT

- Used to select the standard color gamut. - Available options are BT.709, DCI-P3, BT.2020 and Native. \* The submenus may be activated in the User1/2/3 mode only.

●EOTF (Electro-Optical Transfer Function)

- Electrophotic conversion Functions (ex: Gamma or HDR curve). - Available modes are 2.2, 2.4, 2.6, PQ, HLG and SLOG3. \* The submenus may be activated in the User1/2/3 mode only.

●EETF (Electrical-Electrical Transfer Function)

- Used to display the HDR image(without clipping) within the actual luminance range (black level and peak luminance) that the monitor can express. In the Auto mode, the HDR image is converted within the range of set peak luminance and black level. In the OFF mode, the video signal outside of the set range is clipped. - Available modes are OFF and AUTO. - Available only when the EOTF is set to PQ or SLOG3. \* The submenus may be activated in the User1/2/3 mode only.

•HLG SG (HLG System Gamma)

- Used to set the System Gamma of HLG mode. - In the Auto mode, the value of the System Gamma changes automatically according to the previously set peak luminance. When it is OFF, the value is set to default value of 1.2. - Activates only when the EOTF is set to HLG. \* The submenus may be activated in the User1/2/3 mode only.

• SG (System Gamma)

- The System Gamma of HLG is automatically calculated and displayed according to the set peak luminance. - Activates only when the EOTF is set to HLG and the HLG SG is Auto.

• CAM LUT (Camera LUT)

- Used to change the Camera LUT. - Available LUTs are OFF, LOG-C, C-LOG, S-LOG 1, 2, 3 and REDGamma 3, 4.

•TEMP (Temperature)

- Controls the color temperature and allows instant access to preset the color temperature settings. - Available color temperatures are 9300K, 6500K, 3200K and USER 1/2/3. - In USER 1/2/3 modes, user can define custom RGB GAIN, BIAS and COLOR COPY values.

•GAIN R

- Used to set Red Gain(or Picture, Contrast) level from -128 to 127. - Adjusts the red color of bright section. - Only available in Custom 1/2/3 mode.

- Used to set Green Gain(or Picture, Contrast) level from -128 to 127. - Adjusts the green color of bright section. - Only available in Custom 1/2/3 mode.

• High Bright (LUM-430M3/550M3 only)

- Used to adjust the brightness of the screen. - YES: The brightness is set to 300nit. This mode improves the visibility especially when these monitors are used for the multiview screen. - NO: The brightness is set to 100nit.

06 FIRMWARE UPGRADE

[1] FIRMWARE UPGRADE

- The USB(Thumb drive) which contains the F/W file is needed for Firmware Upgrade. - Select the SW UPGRADE in the SYSTEM menu. 1. Connect the USB to the USB Slot on the front of the monitor. 2. Select what to update among CPU / FPGA / ALL in [S/W UPGRADE]. 3. When the USB connection is completed, the S/W upgrade starts and the progress displays on the bottom left side of the screen. 4. If the USB doesn't connect properly or there is no file in the specified location, the error message will be displayed on the bottom left side of the screen and the upgrade won't start. 5. In that case, check the USB or the file location and try again. \- After USB connection, turn off and then on the monitor. The upgrade will activate automatically.
