Black plastic microphone with mesh grille and attached black cable (no text or symbols visible)The microphone
Low profile boundary mic with built-in electronics can be easily placed on a pillow or other surface in a kick drum for excellent attack and bass punch. Very high SPL ability and lower open circuit sensitivity matches Kick drum performance characteristics without overloading the mic preamp in a mixer. The CM-95 also comes with a fixed 1,5-meter cable.
Set Up and Operation
Connect the microphone to a mixer or recording device before turning on the phantom power. Make sure all volume and gain controls on your mixer, mic preamp or recording device are at their minimum settings when switching in the phantom power.
Once the CM-95 is plugged in and the phantom power is switched in, Move the channel fader gradually to the 0dB position adjust the input gain using your channel peak led or VU-meter.
Place the CM-95 at the bottom of the kick drum on a cushion or other soft material to avoid unwanted noise. See setup example 1.
For the best results, we suggest using the CM-95 in combination with our DM-55 (D1357). Carefully cut the lows on the CM-95 channel of your mixer and cut highs on the DM-55 channel of your mixer to get the best results. See setup example 2.

Connection Cables
Take care of your cables, always holding them by the connectors and avoiding knots and twists when coiling them: This gives the advantage of increasing their life and reliability.
Periodically check your cables. A great number of problems (faulty contacts, ground hum, discharges, etc.) are caused entirely by using unsuitable or faulty cables.
