Frequently Asked Questions - VL60 Tower

How long does it take to fully charge the Tower VL60 vacuum?
The charging time is approximately 4 hours. The three LED indicators on the control panel will light up gradually, and the vacuum is fully charged when all three are lit.
How do I clean the filter?
First, press the dust tank release button to remove the dust tank. Then, remove the filter from the tank and tap it lightly to remove loose debris. Rinse the filter under running water and allow it to dry thoroughly before reassembling. Do not use the vacuum without the filter.
What should I do if the vacuum loses suction?
Check if the dust tank is full or the filter is clogged. Empty the tank and clean the filter. Also, inspect for blockages in the extension pole or floorhead. If the problem persists, ensure you are using the correct attachments.
Can I use the Tower VL60 on carpets?
Yes, it is suitable for hard floors and low-pile carpets. However, it is not recommended for carpets with long fibers, as the bristles may damage the carpet fibers. Always keep the vacuum moving to avoid damage.
How do I switch between floor mode and handheld mode?
To use as a handheld vacuum, press the extension pole release button and pull the pole off the main body. You can then attach accessories directly to the main unit. To revert, push the pole and floorhead back until they click into place.
What does the thermal cut-out do and how do I reset it?
The thermal cut-out automatically turns off the motor if it overheats due to blocked air inlets. If this happens, allow the vacuum to cool for 1 hour, then empty the dust tank and clean all filters before restarting.
How do I mount the vacuum on the wall?
Use the included wall mounting kit. Choose a location about 1 meter above the ground, mark the screw holes, drill with a 6mm masonry bit, insert wall plugs, and screw the bracket into place. Then hang the vacuum on the bracket.
Can I vacuum liquids with this appliance?
No, this vacuum is designed for dry pick-up only. Do not vacuum water or any other liquids, as this can damage the electrical components and pose a safety risk.
How do I clean the roller brush?
Press the roller brush release button on the side of the floorhead to unlock and remove the brush. Remove any hair, fluff, or debris tangled around it. Then, simply refit the brush back into the floorhead.
What is the warranty period for the Tower VL60?
The standard warranty is 1 year from the date of purchase. If you register the product at www.towerhousewares.co.uk within 28 days of purchase, the warranty can be extended up to 2 years (subject to product type).
