Important safety instructions
■This appliance may be used by children 8 years of age and older and by persons with physical or mental impairments or by inexperienced persons, if they are properly supervised or have been informed about how to use the appliance in a safe manner and understand the potential dangers. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance performed by the user must not be performed by unsupervised children.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service technician or by a similarly qualified person, as this will prevent a dangerous situation from arising. It is forbidden to use the appliance if it has a damaged power cord.
■ Children younger than 3 years of age should be prevented from accessing the appliance unless they are under constant supervision. - Children from 3 to 8 years of age must only turn this appliance on/off under the condition that it is located or installed in its intended normal operating position and that they are under supervision or were informed about the safe operation of the appliance and understand the potential hazards. Children from 3 to 8 years of age must not insert the plug into the power socket, regulate or clean the appliance or carry out maintenance performed by the user.

ATTENTION – Certain parts of this product may become very hot and cause burns. Special attention should be paid when children and handicapped people are present.

WARNING:
Do not cover. To prevent overheating, do not cover the heater.
- The appliance must not be located directly underneath a power socket.
- Do not use the appliance in the near vicinity of a bath, shower or swimming pool.
- Do not subject people or animals to the direct flow of hot or cold air for an extended period of time. This could negatively affect their health.
■ Before connecting the appliance to a power socket, check that the rated voltage on its rating label matches the electrical voltage in the power socket.
- Do not connect the appliance to an extension cord or two way adapter.

Attention: Do not use this appliance with a programmable switch, timer switch, a remote control system or any other component that would automatically switch the appliance on and off.
- The appliance is designed for use in households, offices and similar types of areas.

Attention: This appliance is not equipped with a device for controlling room temperature. Do not use it in small rooms if they are inhabited by persons that are incapable of leaving this room on their own unless they are under constant supervision.
- Do not use the appliance in very dusty or humid rooms such as laundries or bathrooms, in areas where chemicals are stored, in industrial surroundings or outdoors!
■ This appliance is not intended to be mounted on a wall. - Do not place the appliance on unstable surfaces such as carpets with very long and thick fibres. The appliance must be located on a stable and even surface.
- Do not use the appliance near furniture, curtains, drapes or other flammable materials.
■ Free space of at least 100 cm in front of the appliance and 50 cm behind the appliance must be maintained while it is running to ensure sufficient air circulation. - Do not insert any objects through the front air outflow grill or the back air inflow grill. This could lead to an electrical short circuit, fire or damage to the appliance.
- To avoid potential injury by electrical shock do not submerge any part of this appliance in water or any other liquid and do not touch the appliance with damp or wet hands.
■ Always turn off the appliance and disconnect it from the power socket when not using it or before cleaning it. - Do not leave the appliance in operation while sleeping.

When cleaning the appliance, do not submerge it in water or wipe it with a wet cloth.

To avoid damaging the power cord, do not excessively bend or twist it.
- Ensure that the power cord does not come into contact with hot surfaces or sharp objects.
- Do not disconnect the appliance from the power socket by pulling on the power cord. This could damage the power cord or the power socket.
- Disconnect the cord from the power socket by gently pulling the plug of the power cord.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorised service centre or by another similarly qualified person, this will prevent the creation of a dangerous situation.
- Do not use the appliance if it is not working correctly, if it has been damaged or has been submerged in water. To avoid the danger of injury by electrical shock, do not repair the appliance yourself or make any adjustments to it. Have all repairs or adjustments of the appliance performed at an authorised service centre. By tampering with the appliance, you risk voiding your legal rights arising from unsatisfactory performance or quality warranty.
- The manufacturer is not responsible for any damages caused by the incorrect use of this appliance.

User's manual
- Prior to using this appliance, please read the user's manual thoroughly, even in cases where you have previously familiarised yourself with the operation of similar types of appliances. Only use the appliance in the manner described in this user's manual. Keep this user's manual in a safe place where it can be easily retrieved for future use.
- We recommend saving the original cardboard box, packaging material, purchase receipt and responsibility statement of the vendor or warranty card for at least the duration of the legal liability for unsatisfactory performance or quality. In the event of transportation, we recommend that you pack the appliance in the original box from the manufacturer.

BEFORE FIRST USE
- Before first use, take the appliance and its accessories out of the packaging material and remove all promotional labels and stickers. Check that neither the appliance nor any of its parts is damaged.
TURNING ON / OFF
■ Insert the power plug into a power socket.
- To turn on the appliance, set the main switch A7 to position I. Set the operating mode using knob A1, and select the desired temperature using the thermostat A2.
- When you have finished using the heater, set knob A1 to position 0, turn the thermostat anticlockwise to MIN and set the main power switch A7 to position 0. Now you can pull the power plug out of the power socket.
SETTING AN OPERATING MODE
Use knob A1 to select an appropriate operating mode:

| I Hot air function with an input of 1000 W | |
| II Hot air function with an input of 2000 W |
TEMPERATURE CONTROL UNIT SETTING
- For faster heating, it is recommended to select operating mode II and to set the thermostat A2 to maximum. As soon as the temperature in the room reaches the desired level, you can set the operating mode to I and lower the temperature on the thermostat A2. The appliance will regularly turn on and off and heat the room to the temperature set on the thermostat. Heating will be signalled by the heating indicator light A6 being lit.
OSCILLATION
- To achieve improved air distribution, you may select the oscillation function. Press the oscillation button A8 and the appliance will start oscillating. Press the oscillation button A8 again and the appliance will stop oscillating.
THERMAL PROTECTION
- The convection heater is equipped with double thermal protection – resettable and non-resettable thermal fuse. The resettable fuse is activated and turns off the convection heater in the event that it overheats.
- In the event that such a situation occurs, set knob A1 to position 0, turn the thermostat anticlockwise to MIN and set the main power switch A7 to position 0. Disconnect the power cord from the power socket. Allow the convection heater to cool down. After it cools down, the resettable thermal fuse be deactivated and the convection heater can be put back into operation.
- For reasons of increased safety, the convection heater is furthermore equipped with a non-resettable thermal fuse as protection in the event that the first thermal fuse fails. In the event that the non-resettable thermal fuse is activated, the convection heater will turn off permanently. In such an event, please contact an authorised service centre.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Disconnect the power plug from the power socket and allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning it.
- For cleaning, do not use cleaning products with an abrasive effect, solvents, etc. that could damage the appliance.

Warning:
To prevent the risk of injury by electrical shock, do not submerge the appliance, power cord or power plug in water or any another liquid.
- Keep the appliance in a clean condition. Clean the appliance regularly to ensure dust does not accumulate inside.
- To clean the outer surface of the of the appliance, use a clean, dry cloth. To remove dust from the outer surface, you may also use a vacuum cleaner.
STORAGE
- When not using the appliance for an extended period of time, disconnect the power plug from the power socket, allow the appliance to cool down and clean it according to the instructions in chapter "Cleaning and maintenance".
■ Before storing it, check that the appliance is clean and dry. - Store the appliance in a dry, clean and well-ventilated location not exposed to extreme temperatures and out of children's reach.
