Frequently Asked Questions - Charge Power Pack GARMIN

How do I charge the Garmin Charge Power Pack?
Raise the weather cap on the Micro-USB port, connect the included USB cable to a wall charger, and plug into a power outlet. The status LEDs flash blue during charging and become solid blue when fully charged (about 4 hours).
How long does the battery last?
The battery pack can power a Garmin Edge 1030 for up to 24 hours on a full charge. Actual runtime depends on device usage.
Is the Charge Power Pack waterproof?
It has an IPX7 water rating, meaning it can withstand incidental exposure to water up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. However, do not immerse it in water or operate it in heavy rain.
Which Garmin Edge devices are compatible?
The battery pack works with Garmin Edge devices that have electrical contacts (e.g., Edge 1030, 830) and also supports USB charging for other models via the USB-A port (requires compatible data cable).
How do I mount the battery pack on my bike?
Use the included out-front mount. Install the handlebar connector with the appropriate rubber pad (25.4 mm or 31.8 mm), then attach the lever adapter and quarter-turn adapter. Slide the battery pack into the mount and close the lever to lock it.
How can I check the battery level?
Press the device key on the battery pack. Each solid LED represents 25% charge. If one LED is flashing, the battery has less than 5% charge remaining.
Can I use a third-party USB cable to charge the battery pack?
Yes, but Garmin recommends using the included cable. Third-party cables may result in slower charging or reduced performance.
What should I do if the battery pack stops charging?
Ensure the temperature is within the charging range (0°C to 45°C). Check that the cable and port are clean and dry. If the issue persists, contact Garmin support.
How do I dispose of the battery pack?
Do not dispose of it in household waste. Follow local regulations for lithium-ion battery disposal. Contact your local waste management facility for proper recycling.
