Open the sensor by loosening the screw at the bottom and separating the case. Replace the old battery with a new CR2 3V Lithium battery. It is not necessary to re-register the sensor after battery replacement.

What is the detection range and angle of the sensor?

The sensor has a detection range of up to 12 meters and a detection angle of 110°. For best results, mount it at a high level covering the entire area to be monitored.

Can I adjust the sensitivity of the motion sensor?

Yes, you can adjust sensitivity by closing the jumper (labeled D in Fig. 5). The jumper is open by default (standard sensitivity). Closing it reduces sensitivity.

How do I mount the sensor on a corner?

The package includes a special angle bracket for corner mounting. Use the provided screws and dowels. Drill holes using the marks on the bottom part of the case (without electronics).

Does the sensor work without a QIVICON home base?

No, the sensor requires a QIVICON home base equipped with a ZigBee radio stick to operate. It is designed specifically for the QIVICON smart home platform.

What should I do if the sensor is not detecting motion properly?

Thank you for having chosen a quality product of Bitron Home, an Urmet Group brand. Bitron Home products have been specifically designed for use with the QIVICON platform for which they are approved. QIVICON enables you to manage and control you smart phone in a really easy way: applications for PC, tablet and smartphone let you manage all connected devise, at any time and from anywhere.

MOUNTING

The movement sensor can be mounted on plain surfaces as well as in corners. The required screws and dowels are included in the packaging of the product. For corner mounting please use the angle (Fig. 4/B) included. In order to open the device, loose the screw on the bottom of the device and open the case. The drill marks (Fig. 4) can be found at the bottom part of the case without electronics.

Please make sure that the sensor captures the entire area to be monitored. We advise the test the coverage before the final mounting of the device. Mount the sensor at a high level to ensure best performance. The sensor has a range of 12 m with an angle of 110° .

SET-UP AND OPERATION

In order to set-up this device you need to have a QIVICON home base which is equipped with a QIVICON ZigBee® radio stick. The home based needs to be set up and you need a valid user account. For further information, please refer to http://www.qivicon.de/support.

1. Remove plastic cover which protects the battery during transport on the back of the device (Fig. 1).
2. Log on at Mein QIVICON (www.qivicon.de/login). Go to Gerät hinzufügen and select the manufacturer Bitron Home. Then choose your device (Fig. 2).
3. Follow the connection wizard's instructions.

If you wish to associate the device to a different home base, e.g. in case you need to replace the home base, repeat steps 2 and 3.

To replace the battery (Fig. 5/C), please open the sensor as described in section mounting and replace the battery by a model of identic type (Lithium CR2 3V). It is not necessary to register the sensor again.

You can adjust the sensitivity of the movement sensor by closing the jumper (Fig. 5/D). This contact is open by default.
