Frequently Asked Questions - SHW 3001 SENCOR

How do I connect the high pressure hose to the pistol?
Open the lock at the back of the pistol by moving it downward. Insert the end of the high pressure hose fully into the pistol opening. Lock it by moving the lock upward. Then slide the high pressure hose guard up to the pistol opening and turn clockwise to secure it.
What should I do if the pressure is low?
Check for a blocked or worn nozzle. Clean the nozzle using the included cleaning needle. Also ensure the water supply is adequate (hose should fill a 10-litre bucket in 1 minute). Straighten the inlet hose and clean the water filter if present.
Can I use hot water with this pressure washer?
Yes, but the maximum temperature of the supplied water is 40 °C. Do not use boiling or very hot water as it may damage the pump.
How do I clean the nozzle?
Use the included cleaning needle to clear any debris from the nozzle. For adjustable nozzles, first turn the nozzle to fully open before cleaning. Flush with water from the front after cleaning.
What does the thermal fuse do?
The thermal fuse automatically turns off the product if the motor or pump overheats. Once they cool down, you can turn the product back on. This prevents damage from overheating.
How do I start the high pressure cleaner?
Ensure the main switch is in position '0'. Connect to power. Open the water tap fully. Press the pistol trigger to release air until water flows. Then move the main switch to position '1'. Hold the pistol firmly and press the trigger to start cleaning.
Why does the pump keep stopping?
The pump may stop due to overheating caused by insufficient water supply. Check that the water tap is fully open and the hose delivers at least 10 litres per minute. Also ensure the inlet hose is not kinked.
Can I use the pistol without an attachment?
No, never use the pistol without the attachment being attached. The high pressure jet can cause recoil and the attachment is necessary for safe operation.
How do I store the accessories?
Use the parking positions on the cleaner. Insert the working attachment into the grooves (pic. E 3) and the pistol into the holder (pic. E 4). There is also a pocket for small items like the cleaning needle.
Is it safe to use the pressure washer near children?
Keep the product out of reach of children. Never direct the high pressure jet at people or animals. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. Use extra caution when operating near children.

INTRODUCTION

What is a high pressure cleaner?

A high pressure cleaner is in effect a powerful electric motor driving a set of pistons, which force water to spray through a small nozzle. This creates pressurised water current.

The pressure cleaner can be used for many kinds of work around the house and in the garden. It is an effective work saving cleaning method for various types of surfaces. This high pressure cleaner is designed so that the supplied cold water is sufficient for it.

Possible applications

The main applications of this product are for cleaning work in the house, e.g.:

1) Washing cars, motorcycles, boats and bicycles.
2) Cleaning of terraces, fences, garden walls, footpaths, driveways and house façades.
3) Removal of algae and moss from roofs, brickwork and gutters.
4) Cleaning of garden machines and equipment, garden furniture and meat grills.
5) Hygienic cleaning of animal enclosures and surrounding areas.

  • Keep the high pressure hose attached to the high pressure cleaner for the entire time of operation because it is under pressure. Disconnecting the high pressure hose while it is under pressure is dangerous.
    • Never use the pistol without the attachment being attached.
  • Always store the high pressure cleaner in a place where it will not freeze. Frost may cause irreversible damage to the cleaner. It is recommended to remove all water from the cleaner and all accessories including the inlet hoses before storage. The warranty does not cover frost damage!
