What types of digital audio inputs does the AC-DAC-CO2 support?

The AC-DAC-CO2 supports both Coaxial (RCA) and Optical (TOSLINK) digital audio inputs. You can switch between them using the switch on the left panel.

How do I connect the converter to my TV or audio source?

Connect your source (e.g., TV, Blu-ray player) to either the Coax In or Optical In port on the rear panel. Then connect the analog L/R Out (RCA) to your amplifier or active speakers. Finally, plug in the 5V DC power supply.

Does the AC-DAC-CO2 require external power?

Yes, it requires a 5V DC power supply (1.2A). The unit comes with a power adaptor. Plug it into the DC 5V port on the left panel.

What audio formats and sample rates are supported?

It supports LPCM 2.0 (uncompressed stereo) and sample rates from 32kHz up to 192kHz (including 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz, 96kHz, 176.4kHz, and 192kHz). It does not support compressed or multi-channel formats.

Can I use this converter with a 5.1 surround sound system?

No, the AC-DAC-CO2 only converts stereo PCM audio. It will not decode Dolby Digital or DTS 5.1 signals. For multi-channel, you need a compatible receiver.

How do I know which input is active?

The top panel has Optical and Coax LEDs. The LED corresponding to the selected input will illuminate.

What are the dimensions and weight of the AC-DAC-CO2?

The case dimensions are 46mm x 22.5mm x 45.5mm (WxHxD). Including connectors, it is 56mm x 22.5mm x 46mm. It weighs only 30g.

Why is there no sound from my speakers?

Check that the power supply is connected and the LEDs are on. Verify the input switch is set correctly (Coax or Optical). Ensure your source is outputting PCM audio. Also check the analog cable connections and that your speakers/amplifier are powered and set to the correct input.

Is the AC-DAC-CO2 compatible with all TVs?

It is compatible with any TV or device that has a digital audio output (coaxial or optical) and outputs PCM stereo. Most modern TVs have an optical output; set the TV audio output to PCM.

Can I use the converter without the power supply?

No, the converter requires external power to operate. Use only the supplied 5V/1.2A adaptor. Using a different power supply may damage the unit.

1 Optical & Coax LEDs: These LED lights will illuminate according to which input is currently selected.

6.2 Front Panel

1 L/R Out: Analog stereo output. Connect to the input of your audio device or display.

6.3 Rear Panel

1 Coax In: Connect to the Coaxial digital audio source, such as a DVD player or CD player.
2 Optical In: Connect to the Optical audio source, such as a Blu-ray player or games console.

6.4 Left Panel

1 Coax/ Optical Switch: Select which digital audio input is active and will be converted to analog stereo (L/R) audio.
