Aston Spirit

A high-performance switchable pattern microphone utilising a 1" gold evaporated capsule and with selectable Omni, Cardioid or Figure-of-Eight polar patterns.

We've indicated here which Aston microphones are generally considered best for the most popular applications. But remember, rules are there to be broken... Pushing a mic beyond its usual comfort zones can lead to some interesting stuff - if it sounds good, go with it! It's near-impossible to damage any of our microphones, so feel free to experiment.

In some cases, however, there are technical considerations. For example, if you want vocalists gathered round a mic, then Spirit, with its Omni mode, will do the best job., and if you want a choice of sounds without swapping out mics, then Stealth and Starlight are both multi-voice.
