Frequently Asked Questions - CV730-NDI Marshall Electronics

How do I set up the NDI connection for the CV730-NDI?
Install the NDI®|HX drivers on your computer (for TriCaster or Microsoft HEVC decode). Connect the camera's Ethernet port to the same network as your computer or NewTek equipment. Power on and the camera will appear as an NDI source. For details, refer to the Quick Setup section of the manual.
What is the maximum resolution and frame rate of the CV730-NDI?
The camera supports up to 3840x2160 at 59.94 fps via HDMI and SDI. Lower resolutions like 1080p and 720p are also available at various frame rates.
Can I control the camera remotely via IP?
Yes, the CV730-NDI can be controlled over IP through its web interface (default IP: 192.168.100.100, user admin, password 9999). You can also control it via RS-232, RS-422, or the included IR remote.
How do I mount the camera on the ceiling?
Use the supplied metal plates (A and B). First, remove the four foot pads from the bottom. Attach metal plate A with 4 M3 silver screws. Secure metal plate B to a UL/CE approved ceiling hanger, then slide plate A into plate B and fasten with 2 M3 silver and 1 M3 black screw. Ensure the camera is at least 2 meters from the subject.
What type of power does the camera require?
The camera can be powered via a DC 12V adapter (included) or through PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) using a compatible switch or injector.
How do I change the camera's IP address?
Access the OSD menu by pressing Menu on the remote, navigate to Ethernet settings, and disable DHCP. Then manually enter the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway. Alternatively, use the web interface under Settings > Network.
The camera has no image output. What should I check?
Ensure the power source is working (adapter or PoE++). Verify the video output cable and monitor compatibility (HDMI, SDI, or NDI). Confirm the output resolution matches your monitor's capabilities. Try a different cable or port.
How do I clean the camera lens and body?
Unplug all cables before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners. For the lens, use a lens cleaning cloth to avoid scratches.
Is the camera compatible with third-party PTZ controllers?
Yes, the camera supports VISCA and Pelco-D protocols over RS-232 or RS-422. Set the protocol and baud rate in the System menu or web interface.
What is the warranty period and how do I get support?
The CV730-NDI comes with a 3-year warranty for the first consumer. For hardware issues, contact Marshall Customer Support at 800-800-6608 or support@marshall-usa.com. For NDI software issues, contact NewTek.

    A["Camera"] --> B["Network cable"]
    B --> C["Switch or router"]
    C --> D["Computer"]
  1. To connect directly through network cable, the IP address of the computer should be changed so that it is on the same network segment as the camera e.g.: The factory-preset default IP address of camera is 192.168.100.100. The computer IP address must be set with the same network segment, such as 192.168.100.101, so that the computer can be connected correctly with the camera
