How do I set up the Edimax GP-101IT switch?

Simply connect the power adapter and plug in your Ethernet devices. The switch works plug-and-play, no configuration needed.

What do the LED lights mean?

The Power LED indicates the switch is on. Each port has a Link/Activity LED: solid green for connection, blinking for activity.

Can I mount this switch on a wall?

Yes, the GP-101IT has mounting holes on the bottom. Use appropriate screws (not included) to secure it.

What is the maximum cable length supported?

The switch supports Ethernet cables up to 100 meters (328 feet) for both 10 and 100 Mbps connections.

Does this switch support PoE (Power over Ethernet)?

No, the GP-101IT does not support PoE. Each device must have its own power source.

Why is one of my ports not working?

Check the Ethernet cable connection and ensure the device is powered on. Try a different port to isolate the issue. If the LED is off, the cable or device may be faulty.

Can I use this switch with a router?

Yes, connect one of the ports to your router using an Ethernet cable to expand your wired network.

What is the switch's power consumption?

The switch consumes up to 2.5W. Use only the provided 5V DC adapter to avoid damage.

How do I clean the switch?

Unplug the switch and wipe the casing with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquids or abrasive cleaners.

What should I do if the switch overheats?

Ensure proper ventilation. Do not block the vents. If it continues, contact Edimax support.

The PoE/DATA port sends power and Ethernet data to your PoE-enabled device. Use a CAT 5 cable to connect the PoE/Data port to your PoE-enabled device.

The DATA port doesn't deliver power. Use an Ethernet cable to connect to the injector's Data port to the LAN of an Ethernet device, such as an Ethernet switch.

Use the included power cord to connect the injector's power socket to a power source.
