Frequently Asked Questions - Total Home Master 2-In-1 S7 VAX

Why is the steamer not producing steam?
Check that the water tank has water and is correctly fitted. Ensure the hard water filter is in place, not damaged or blocked. If the steam path is blocked, refer to 'Let's talk technical' in the manual to clear blockages.
Why won't the cleaning pad pick up dirt?
The cleaning pad may be saturated or dirty. Wash the microfibre pad (machine washable at max 40°C) and allow to fully dry before use.
Why is steam coming from the side of the steamer?
Steam from the side may indicate a blockage inside the steamer. Unplug the steamer and follow the instructions in 'Let's talk technical' to clear blockages using the descaling pin.
How do I change the hard water filter?
Remove the water tank to access the hard water filter. Pull out the old filter (discoloured or darkened) and replace with a new beige/cream filter every 3 to 6 months or sooner if discoloured.
Can I use the steamer on carpets?
Yes, but always attach the microfibre pad and place the steamer into the carpet glider for carpet refreshing. Move slowly and avoid over-wetting.
What should I do if the steamer overheats and shuts off?
Turn off and unplug the steamer. Allow it to cool for at least 2 to 4 hours before restarting. This is a safety feature to prevent damage.
How do I clean the microfibre pad?
Hold the corner of the pad with your foot and lift the steamer to remove. Machine wash the pad at max 40°C without bleach or fabric softener. Air dry completely before use.
Can I use my steamer on waxed floors?
No, the steamer is not suitable for waxed polished floors, acrylic surfaces, or steam-sensitive materials. Always test on a hidden area first.

IMPORTANT: Don't operate the steamer without hard water filter in place. The condition of the filter affects the performance of your steamer, check and change filter periodically. If you live in a hard water area the filter will discolour or darken over time. Depending on water hardness and frequency of use, the filter should be changed every 3 to 6 months (or if the filter has discoloured).
