The Vello Softboxes for Portable Flash are small, powerful light-shaping tools to control the harsh light from speedlight flash units. By diffusing the light, they can reduce flash harshness and soften shadows for a more natural and even tone on your subject matter. Every unit is lightweight, small, and folds flat. Take it with you on location for fashion photography, a wedding, or your next event.

KEY FEATURES

Rubberized Mounting Tabs:

The mounting tabs are rubberized for a non-slip fit onto the flash head of the speedlight unit.

Integrated Elastic Strap with

Touch-Tab Fastener: The integrated elastic strap with touch-tab fastener affords fast and secure attachment to your flash.

Strap Loop:

Another integrated feature is the strap loop which keeps the elastic strap aligned around the mounting tabs.

Front Diffuser:

The front diffuser softens the output of your portable flash unit to reduce or eliminate harsh shadows on your subject.

Built-In Foldable Diffuser:

If you need extra softening or diffusion, the built-in inner diffuser is available. When not needed, it can be concealed in the inside of the softbox.

Collapsible Design:

Folds flat, easily, and quickly for convenient storage in your bag.

Silver Reflective Interior:

The silver reflective interior maximizes the spread of the light output.

Zippered Carrying Case:

A zippered carrying case is included for easy transport and protection.

USER INSTRUCTIONS

Attaching Folding Softbox

for Portable Flashes

Before you begin, make sure your flash unit is detached from your camera.

1. With your portable flash unit in one hand, or in its 90° angle position on a flat surface, place the rubberized mounting tabs over the flash head, making sure that each side has one mounting tab over it. Make sure the logo side is on top when positioning the softbox. This helps for proper formation of the softbox during use.

1. Move your forefinger and thumb to securely hold the mounting tabs in place on the flash head, while your other hand holds the integrated elastic strap.

2. Wrap the elastic strap around the outside of the mounting tabs, away from the elastic strap's base. For added security, run the strap though the strap loop to keep it evenly aligned, and then continue around all the mounting tabs. After wrapping around all sides, secure the elastic strap's end to the touch strip fastener on the outside of the mounting tab.

3. Adjust the softbox for proper fit and position.

Using the Inner Diffuser

The inner diffuser is folded away inside for a complete all-in-one unit. To use, simply remove the inside end from its touch tab and secure to the fastening touch strip located on the inside of the opposite mounting tab. Then follow the steps above to attach the softbox onto your portable flash unit.

ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

This VELLO product is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal consumer use for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date or thirty (30) days after replacement, whichever occurs later. The warranty provider's responsibility with respect to this limited warranty shall be limited solely to repair or replacement, at the provider's discretion, of any product that fails during normal use of this product in its intended manner and in its intended environment. Inoperability of the product or part(s) shall be determined by the warranty provider: If the product has been discontinued, the warranty provider reserves the right to replace it with a model of equivalent quality and function.

This warranty does not cover damage or defect caused by misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, abuse, improper installation or maintenance. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, THE WARRANTY PROVIDER MAKES NEITHER ANY EXPRESS WARRANTIES NOR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. This warranty provides you with specific legal rights, and you may also have additional rights that vary from state to state.

To obtain warranty coverage, contact the Vello Customer Service Department to obtain a return merchandise authorization (“RMA”) number, and return the defective product to Vello along with the RMA number and proof of purchase. Shipment of the defective product is at the purchaser’s own risk and expense.
