Frequently Asked Questions - RSC-1400H Royal Sovereign

How do I load film on the RSC-1400H?
Remove the upper and lower film shafts. Adjust the auto grips to fit the film cores and tighten. Center the films on the shafts and reinstall them. Thread the film according to the diagram in the manual, ensuring the adhesive side faces inward.
How do I adjust temperature and speed?
Use the up/down arrow buttons on the control panel to set temperature (1-9 settings, max 122°F/50°C for hot lamination) and speed (1-9 settings, from 1.2 to 5.0 m/min). The LED display shows current values.
How to use the foot pedal?
Place the foot pedal on the floor. Press once to start the rollers (hands-free operation) and press again to stop. The rollers will run continuously after the first press until stopped.
What should I do if the machine doesn't turn on?
Check that the power plug is connected, the power switch is in the 'I' (On) position, the circuit breaker hasn't tripped, and the main power fuse is intact. Replace fuse if necessary.
How do I clean the rollers?
Remove film from the laminator. Dampen a cloth with water only and gently wipe the Teflon and silicone rollers. Use a rubber gum eraser to remove adhesive buildup. Do not use sharp objects or abrasives.
What is the maximum mounting thickness?
The maximum mounting thickness is 15 mm (0.6 inches). Adjust the roller nip settings accordingly using the pressure lever.
How do I use the cross cutter?
After lamination, move the cutter to the desired cutting point on the rear exit table. Grasp the film with one hand, press the cutter downward, and slide it across from one end to the other.
What does the emergency switch do?
The emergency switch immediately stops all roller movement when engaged. It is located on the machine. To resume operation, disengage the switch and press RUN. It is a safety feature to prevent accidents.
How often should I lubricate the drive chain?
Lubricate the drive chain and sprockets every 6 months or after 1,000 hours of operation, whichever comes first. Use a light coat of gear lube or lithium grease.
Can I use cold lamination on the RSC-1400H?
Yes, the RSC-1400H supports both hot and cold lamination. For cold lamination, set the temperature to the 'No Heating' settings (levels 1-2) or simply turn off the heater. The rollers will apply pressure without heat.
