Warranty Details

The product is guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and parts for a period of 36 months from the date of purchase. Defects that occur within this warranty period, under normal use and care, will be repaired, replaced or refunded at our discretion, solely at our option with no charge for parts and labour. The benefits conferred by this warranty are in addition to all rights and remedies in respect of the product that the consumer has under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and similar state and territory laws.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Read this manual thoroughly before first use, even if you are familiar with this type of product. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury when correctly adhered to. Keep the manual in a safe place for future reference, along with the completed warranty card and purchase receipt. If applicable, pass these instructions on to the next owner of the appliance.

Always follow basic safety precautions and accident prevention measures when using an electrical appliance, including the following:

Pay particular attention to safety messages that follow the words:

DANGER, WARNING and CAUTION.

These words are used to alert you to a potential hazard that can seriously injure you and others. The instructions will tell you how to reduce the chance of injury and let you know what can happen if the instructions are not followed.

DANGER means that failure to read this safety statement may result in severe personal injury.

WARNING means that failure to read this safety statement may result in extensive product damage or serious personal injury.

CAUTION means that failure to read this safety statement may result in minor or moderate personal injury, property or equipment damage.

Electrical safety and cord handling

• Before connecting and turning on the appliance, ensure the electrical voltage and circuit frequency correspond to those indicated on the appliance rating label.
• WARNING! Ensure the outlet is properly earthed to the ground. If unsure, consult a qualified electrician or a service representative. Improper connection of the equipment grounding conductor can result in the risk of an electric shock if the appliance malfunctions.
• WARNING! Do not modify the cord and plug provided with the appliance; if it does not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
• WARNING! If the supply cord is damaged, do not use the appliance. A damaged cord must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent. Contact the after sales support line.
• Do not use an adaptor; do not use an extension cord. We recommend you connect the appliance to a separate circuit serving only this appliance.
• Do not kink or damage the power cord. Position it out of the way so no one steps on or places anything on the cord or against it.
• Make sure the appliance is switched off before you plug it into the power supply.

- Always turn the power off at the power point before you insert or remove a plug. Remove by grasping the plug, do not pull on the cord.

- CAUTION! To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not expose the appliance, cord or plug to rain, moisture or any other liquid.

- Unless your home is already fitted with a residual current device (safety switch), we recommend installing an RCD with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA to provide additional safety protection when using electrical appliances. See your electrician for professional advice.

Installation

- DANGER! Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be produced in a hot-water system that has not been used for two weeks or more. Hydrogen gas is explosive! If the hot-water system has not been used for such a period of time, before using the dishwasher, turn on all hot-water taps and let the water flow from each of them for several minutes. This will release any accumulated hydrogen gas. As the gas is flammable, do not smoke or use an open flame during this time.

- WARNING! Do not install the dishwasher yourself. Have it installed by an accredited plumber or installer only.

- WARNING! Any electrical work required for the installation of this dishwasher should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

- During installation, the power supply cord must not be excessively or dangerously bent or flattened.

- When removing an old dishwasher from service or discarding it, remove the door to the washing compartment.

- Only use new hose sets when connecting this dishwasher to the water supply; do not reuse old hoses.

- Do not install the appliance on or near any flammable or hot object.

- If there are any ventilation openings in the base, make sure they are not obstructed by carpet.

• Install the dishwasher on an even, flat and stable ground.

- Cardboard packaging is manufactured from recycled paper and should be disposed of responsibly for recycling. Keep plastic packaging materials out of reach of young children.

Usage conditions and restrictions

- Do not operate your dishwasher unless all enclosure panels are properly in place.

- This appliance is intended for indoor domestic use only. Do not use it for anything other than its intended purpose, and only use it as described in this manual.

• The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Do not attempt to alter or modify this appliance or its controls in any way.
• Do not sit or stand on the door or dish rack, or use it for anything other than its intended purpose.
• Do not place any heavy objects on the dishwasher door when it is open. The appliance could tip forward.
• If the heating element is exposed, do not touch it during or immediately after use.
• Open the door very carefully if the dishwasher is operating as there is a risk of water escaping.
• The door should not be left open as this could increase the risk of someone tripping over the door.
• Do not overload this dishwasher, it has a maximum capacity of 14 place settings.
• To ensure safe operation, follow a few simple rules when loading the dishwasher:
• Place sharp items so they are not likely to damage the door seal.
• Place long bladed knives with their cutting edge down in the cutlery tray to avoid potential hazards.
• Place plastic items so they do no come into contact with the heating element. (Only wash plastic items that are marked dishwasher safe or the equivalent. For plastic items not marked, check the manufacturer's recommendations.)
• Use only detergent and rinse additives designed for an automatic dishwasher and keep them out of reach of children. Never use liquid detergent (for manual washing up), soap or laundry detergent in your dishwasher.
• DANGER! Dishwasher detergent is strongly alkaline and can be extremely dangerous if swallowed. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes.
• DANGER! Keep children away from the dishwasher when the door is open. Even after a wash there could still be detergent left inside. Make sure that the detergent compartment is empty after completion of the wash cycle.
• Never leave the appliance unattended while in use.
• Do not attempt to take the unit apart. Apart from regular maintenance as described in this manual, this appliance is not designed to be dismantled by the user. In case of damage or malfunction, have the unit repaired by trained personnel only, or contact the after sales support line for advice.
• Inappropriate use can result in property damage, injury or death. We assume no liability for misuse of the appliance or noncompliance with these instructions.

1 Display: This will display the set delay time, error codes or the estimated time left for the program to run.
2 Delay time: This option will allow you to delay the start time of any wash cycle for up to 24 hours. Press this button (repeatedly) to select the desired delay start time in one-hour steps.
3 Child lock: Press and hold this button for 3 seconds to activate the child lock function. When the child lock has been set, the indicator above the button lights up.
4 60 minute program: Press this button to select this 1 hour program.
5 3 in 1 function: Press this button when using 3 in 1 dishwasher tablets in the Intensive, Heavy or Normal program; it helps dissolve the detergent at the appropriate time during the wash cycle.
6 Program selection: Press this button (repeatedly) to select the wash program.
7 On/Off: Press this button to turn the power supply on or off.
8 Check water supply indicator: This indicator lights up when the tap is turned off, the water supply is interrupted or supply hose kinked.
9 Rinse aid indicator: This indicator comes on when the dispenser needs refilling.
10 Drying indicator: This indicator comes on during the drying cycle.
11 Program indicators: These lights indicate which program has been selected or is in progress.

NOTE: When you have selected the wash program and closed the door, the dishwasher will start operating.

Changing a program	Once a program has started, you can only change it at the beginning before the detergent has been released. To change a program at this stage, cancel the current program first, then select the new program and start again.	30
Adding a dish	A dish/utensil can only be added before the detergent dispenser opens. Open the door a little and when the spray arms stop working, add the dish. Close the door to restart.	30
After the wash	When the buzzer indicates the program has finished, open the door — take care as hot steam may escape. Press the ON/OFF button to turn off the dishwasher. Wait at least 15 minutes to let your dishes cool down before unloading. Turn off the power, close the tap and leave the dishwasher door slightly ajar to let moisture evaporate.	31

DANGER! Make sure your electrical power is disconnected before installing the dishwasher. Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock.

ATTENTION! All relevant pipes and electrical equipment should be installed by professional plumbers, electricians or dishwasher installers. Make sure to use new water supply and drain hoses. Do not use old hoses.

ATTENTION! Read this manual to familiarise yourself with all parts and operating principles. Pay particular attention to the safety instructions.

Unpacking the appliance

• This product has been packaged to protect it against transportation damage. Unpack the appliance but keep all packaging materials until you have made sure your new dishwasher is undamaged and in good working order. The carton is recyclable. Whenever possible, reuse the carton and recycle it when disposing of the packaging materials.
• Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young children, so ensure all packaging materials are out of their reach, and dispose of them safely.
• Unwind the cord to its full length and inspect it for damage. Do not use if damaged. In case of damage, contact our after sales support line for advice.

Positioning the appliance

This dishwasher is designed for fully integrated installation (see page 13). Position it close to an existing water inlet and drain connection, and make sure there is a power point nearby, or in an adjoining cabinet. The back of the appliance should face against the wall behind it and the sides along any adjacent cabinets or walls (Fig. 1).

The dishwasher's water supply and drain hoses can be positioned either to the right or left sides to facilitate proper installation.

Make sure the appliance does not stand on any water hoses or the power cable.

Figure 2 shows the minimum space requirements for the dishwasher, in the cabinet and when the door is open.

Affixing the ornamental front panel

Figure 4 shows how to fix the ornamental panel to the front of the machine.

You can either install it with the supplied ornamental stainless steel front panel or have your own cabinet front custom made to match your kitchen design and disguise the dishwasher. In either case you will need a skirting board (see page 18).

Tension adjustment of the door spring

After you have attached the front panel, try to open and close the door to check the balance and ensure that the door can remain in the same place. If there are balance problems, adjust the screw in clockwise or counterclockwise direction until the door is properly balanced (Fig. 5).

Connecting the water supply hose

Connect the water supply hose to your cold water supply with a threaded 3/4" connector (Fig. 6). During use, the dishwasher will heat up the water to the required temperature. Make sure the hose is not kinked or squashed and is fastened tightly. If the water pipes are new or have not been used for an extended period of time, let the water run to make sure it is clear and free of impurities. This step is necessary to avoid the risk of the water inlet being blocked and damaging the appliance.

Hot water connection

The appliance can also be connected to your hot water supply as long as it does not exceed a temperature of 60^ C. Connecting the appliance to the hot water supply will shorten the wash cycle time by about 15 minutes.

Electrical connection

Make sure that the electrical voltage and circuit frequency in your home correspond to those indicated on the appliance rating label and that the electrical system is sized for the maximum voltage on the rating plate. A time delay fuse or circuit breaker is recommended, as well as provision of a separate circuit serving only this appliance.

To connect the dishwasher, insert the plug into a properly earthed power outlet that can hold 250V/10A. Both the cord and the socket should be easily accessible. If the electrical socket is not appropriate for the plug, replace the socket rather than use an adaptor or the like as such devices could cause overheating and fire.

WARNING!

• Do not use an extension cord or an adaptor with this appliance.
• Do not bend the power cord. Do not place the appliance on top of the cord.
• Do not modify the plug provided with this appliance. If it does not fit into your power point, have a suitable outlet installed by a qualified electrician.

Earthing

This appliance must be earthed. In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, earthing will reduce the risk of an electric shock by providing a path of least resistance for the electric current.

This appliance is equipped with a cord having an equipment-earthing conductor and an earthing plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is installed and earthed in accordance with all local standards and requirements.

WARNING!

• Ensure the outlet is properly earthed to the ground. If unsure, consult a qualified electrician or a service representative. Improper connection of the equipment grounding conductor can result in the risk of an electric shock if the appliance malfunctions.
• Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove the third grounding prong from the power plug.

Connecting the drain hose

Connect the water drain hose to the drain pipe connector on the back of the dish-washer and the other end to a drain pipe ( ≥ 40mm ). Do not bend or crimp the hose.

Follow the illustration below (Fig. 7) when installing the waste connection. It must be at a height between 400mm (minimum) and 1000mm (maximum). The water drain hose should be fixed tightly. (If you need to drain any excess water from hoses and the sink is higher than 1m from the floor, you will need to drain the excess water into a bowl or container held underneath the pipe and lower than the sink.)

Levelling the appliance

If the floor is uneven, the front or back feet of the appliance may be adjusted, just screw the feet in or out a little until the dishwasher reaches a horizontal position (Fig. 8). The angle of inclination must not exceed 2 degrees.

Correctly levelled, the appliance will be more stable and much less likely to move or cause vibrations and noise during operation.

Installing the skirting board

Figure 9 shows how to install the skirting board. The required height of the skirting board is a matter of aesthetics. It depends on your benchtop height and should enable comfortable door opening and closing. Reference dimensions are listed in the table below. The ornamental front panel for this dishwasher is 668mm.

Securing the dishwasher

Following the pictorial instructions in Fig. 10, secure the dishwasher with the cabinet by tightening the screws (self-tapping timber screws ST4*26), then plug the four hole plugs into the holes.

Before first use

After your new dishwasher has been installed, and before using it for the first time, make sure to check the following points to ensure safe and efficient operation:

• Is the dishwasher level and properly installed?
• Is the inlet valve open?
- Are the hose connections secured tightly and there is no leakage at either end?
- Are all electrical cords tightly connected?
• Is the power switched on at the power point?
- Are the inlet and drain hoses free of knots and kinks?
- Has all packing material been removed from the dishwasher?
• Is all product documentation stored safely for easy access?

Loading the dishwasher

For best performance of your dishwasher, follow the loading guidelines in this manual.

ATTENTION: before loading the dishwasher baskets

It is not necessary to rinse the dishes under running water before you put them into the dishwasher. However, we recommend you scrape off any large amounts of leftover food and soften remnants of burnt food in pots and pans.

Place objects in the dishwasher in the following way:

• Hollow items such as cups, glasses, pots, pans, etc. should be placed upside down so water cannot collect in the container or in a deep base.
• Curved items, or items with recesses, should be loaded at a slant so water can run off.
• All utensils should be stacked securely so they cannot tip over.
• All dishes and utensils should be placed in a way so the spray arms can rotate freely during washing.
• Very small items should not be washed in the dishwasher as they could easily fall out of the baskets and obstruct moving parts.
• Dishes and items of cutlery should not lie inside one another, or cover each other. To avoid damage to glasses, they must not touch.
• WARNING! Long bladed knives stored upright are a potential hazard! Always place these and other sharp items in the cutlery tray or horizontally in the upper basket.
• Do not overload your dishwasher; it will hold a maximum of 14 standard place settings. This is important for better washing results and lowers energy consumption.
• Do not pull out the upper and lower basket at the same time, which can lead to the appliance tipping forward.

Protecting your glass and tableware

Much of today's tableware is dishwasher safe. However, not everything can be washed safely in a dishwasher. The chemical composition of your dishwasher detergent or the water temperature and duration of the wash program may adversely affect some materials. To protect your special cutlery, glass and tableware from damage, select a wash program with as low a temperature as possible (see pages 20-21 for program details).

We recommend you do not wash in a dishwasher the items listed below, and take special care with items deemed of limited suitability. And when buying new dishes, glassware, porcelain or cutlery, look for products labelled dishwasher safe.

Not suitable for the dishwasher: cutlery with wooden, china or mother-of-pearl handles; plastic items that are not heat resistant; older cutlery with glued parts that are not temperature resistant; bonded cutlery items or dishes; pewter or copper items; lead crystal glass; steel items subject to corrosion (rusting); wooden platters.

Of limited suitability: some types of glasses can become dull with frequent machine washing; items made of silver and aluminium tend to discolour from machine washing; glazed patterns may fade with frequent machine washing.

Loading the upper basket

The upper basket is designed to hold more delicate and lighter tableware such as glasses, cups, small plates, bowls and shallow pans (as long as they are not too dirty). Position these items securely so they do not get moved by the spray of water.

Long items, serving cutlery, salad servers and knives should be placed on the cup rack so that they do not obstruct the rotation of the spray arms. This shelf can be folded back, or it can be removed altogether when not required for use.

Figure 11, right, shows how to fit 14 glasses, cups and saucers into the upper basket (A = cups, B = glasses C = saucers).

Adjusting the height of the upper basket

The height of the upper basket can easily be adjusted in order to create more space for large utensils in the top or bottom basket. The basket height adjustment mechanism is designed to let you adjust the basket height upwards or downwards without removing it from the machine, so you can adjust it even when the basket is loaded with dishes.

At the factory the basket height is set to the lower position.

- Raising the upper basket: In order to raise the basket, hold it on both sides and pull it upwards (Fig. 12). It will lock into position.

- Lowering the upper basket: In order to lower the basket, hold it on both sides, slightly pull it upwards to release and then gently lower it.

- IMPORTANT! Always ensure that both sides of the basket are in the same position (up or down), especially when adjusting a loaded basket.

Loading the lower basket

Larger items such as pots, pans, lids, serving dishes and bowls are often the most difficult to clean and are best placed onto the lower basket, as illustrated below (Fig. 13).

• Load large serving dishes and lids on the side of the baskets so they do not block the rotation of the top spray arm.
• Always place pots and bowls upside down into the basket or at a slant so the water can flow out.
• The bottom basket features fold-down tine rows (as illustrated in Fig. 14), so that larger or more pots and pans can be loaded.

If you need more space to load pots and pans in the lower basket, you can fold down the tine rows at the back, as illustrated on the right (Fig. 14). Each row can be folded separately, or both together to obtain a larger area.

The cutlery tray

For personal safety and top quality cleaning, place your dishwasher safe, standard size cutlery in the tray as illustrated below (Fig. 15). Please note:

• Items of cutlery must not impede the rotation of the spray arms.
• Items of cutlery must not lie inside one another, or cover each other.
• Long and/or sharp items of cutlery such as carving knives must always be placed in the cutlery tray. If they are too big for the cutlery tray, place them horizontally in the upper basket.
• Items of cutlery must not extend through the bottom of the cutlery tray.

Dishwasher detergent

WARNING!

• Only use detergent specifically made for use in dishwashers.
• Always add detergent just before starting the dishwasher, otherwise it could get damp and will not dissolve properly. It is also a hazard to leave detergent in the dispenser where children can reach it when the door is open.
• Dishwasher detergent is corrosive! Take care to keep it out of children's reach.

Dishwasher detergents have chemical ingredients that remove dirt, food and germs and transport them out of the dishwasher. Most commercially sold dishwasher detergents are suitable for this purpose. Based on their chemical composition, dishwasher detergents can be split into two basic types: conventional, alkaline detergents with caustic components and low alkaline, concentrated detergents with enzymes. Concentrated detergents with enzymes can achieve similar results in shorter wash programs at lower temperatures that are otherwise achieved in an intensive program.

Detergent tablets

Detergent tablets of different brands dissolve at different speeds; some cannot dissolve and develop their full cleaning power during short wash programs. To ensure the complete removal of detergent residues, we recommend choosing longer wash programs when using dishwasher detergent tablets.

"3 in 1" Detergent tablets

Some detergent tablets combine dishwasher detergent with rinse aid (and sometimes other ingredients). Before using such “3 in 1” (or similar) tablets in your dishwasher, check and make sure that the water hardness in your supply is compatible with these tablets. Check on the packaging or contact the detergent manufacturer.

• Strictly follow the detergent manufacturer's recommendations for use of such tablets.
• If you encounter problems when using such tablets for the first time, seek advice from the detergent manufacturer (see the product packaging for contact details).

"3 in 1" Function

This dishwasher has a special “3 in 1” function, which will help dissolve the detergent at the appropriate time during the wash cycle.

• To select this function, press the 3in1 button when selecting the Intensive, Heavy or Normal wash program.
• If you decide to switch back to using a standard detergent system, we advise that you refill the rinse aid compartment, set the rinse aid dispenser (water hardness setting) to the highest possible position and run the dishwasher for three normal cycles without a load. Then readjust the water hardness setting according to the conditions for your region ( page 29).

Adding detergent

The table on pages 20-21 lists the recommended amounts of detergent: 20 - 32.5g. However, water hardness and soiling levels affect the amount of detergent required.

• Always follow the detergent manufacturer's recommendations on dosage. The detergent compartment has a 15g and 25g level marking for easy dosage (Fig. 16).
• Before the start of each wash cycle fill an appropriate amount of detergent (or a detergent tablet) into the detergent dispenser. If the lid is closed, press the latch (Fig. 17) and the lid will spring open.

- Close the lid of the detergent dispenser and press until you hear it lock in place.

- If your dishes are heavily soiled, and you are using a powder detergent, we recommend you add a little extra amount of detergent in the prewash detergent chamber (Fig. 18). In the Intensive program, this detergent will take effect during the prewash phase, otherwise it will be dispensed during the main wash.

Rinse aid

Rinse aid is automatically released during the last rinse, ensuring thorough rinsing and spot and streak-free drying. Your dishwasher is designed to use liquid rinse aid.

CAUTION!

Only use specific rinse aid for your dishwasher. Never fill the rinse aid dispenser with any other substances (e.g. dishwasher cleaning agent, liquid detergent) as this could damage the appliance.

Filling the rinse aid dispenser

The rinse aid dispenser is located inside the door next to the detergent dispenser. It holds about 140mL. To fill the dispenser, open the cap and pour the rinse aid into the dispenser.

• To open the dispenser, turn the cap in anticlockwise direction and lift it out (Fig. 19).
- Pour rinse aid into the dispenser until the level indicator (Fig. 20) turns completely black. Take care not to overfill it.
- Replace the cap in the opening and turn it clockwise to close the dispenser (Fig. 21).

CAUTION!

Clean up any rinse aid spilled while filling with an absorbent cloth or paper towel to avoid excessive foaming during the next wash.

Do not forget to replace the cap before you close the dishwasher door.

When to refill the rinse aid dispenser

Fill the rinse aid dispenser when the warning light on the control panel comes on (unless you are using “3 in 1” or similar detergent tablets with rinse aid, in which case you can ignore the warning light). Alternatively, you can estimate the amount of rinse aid left in the dispenser by the colour of the optical level indicator, which is located next to the cap (see Fig. 20, opposite). When the rinse aid container is full, the whole indicator will be dark. As the rinse aid diminishes, the size of the dark dot decreases, as indicated below. Never let the rinse aid level fall below 1/4 full.

Adjusting the rinse aid dose

The rinse aid dispenser has four settings. To adjust the dose, proceed as follows:

• Turn the cap of the dispenser anticlockwise to remove (see Fig. 19, opposite).
• Turn the arrow to the desired number. Always start with the dispenser set on “2”, as illustrated (Fig. 22).

- If spots and poor drying are a problem, increase the amount of rinse aid dispensed by rotating the dial to “3”. If the dishes still are not drying properly or are showing spots, adjust the dial to “4”.

- Reduce the dose if there are sticky whitish streaks on your dishes or a bluish film on glassware or knife blades.

NOTE

If you are using detergent tablets that contain a rinse aid, you do not need to add liquid rinse aid and can ignore the “Low Rinse” indicator light when it comes on.

Running the dishwasher

Starting a wash program

- Before running the dishwasher, ensure that:

• The plug is inserted into a suitable 12A power socket (the power supply is 240V AC 50Hz) and power is switched on at the outlet.
• The water supply is open and turned to full pressure.

• There is sufficient liquid rinse aid in the rinse aid dispenser ( - pages 28-29), unless you use dishwasher detergent tablets that contain a rinse aid.

• Open the door, draw out the lower basket, load your dishes and push the basket back into place. Then load the upper basket the same way (pages 22-25).

• Add dishwasher detergent according to the instructions ( - pages 26-27).
• Press the ON/OFF button on the dishwasher control panel ( page 9).
• If you are using a "3 in 1" or similar detergent tablet for an Intensive, Heavy or Normal wash program, press the 3in1 button (← page 26).
• Press the PROGRAM button (repeatedly) to select a wash program (or press the 60min button for the 60 minute program), the respective program indicator will light up (→ pages 20-21).
• When you have selected all relevant options, close the dishwasher door firmly, you should hear a click when it closes properly. The dishwasher will start automatically.

Setting a delayed start

- Press the DELAY button to delay the start time of the selected wash cycle for up to 24 hours. Every press of the button increases the delayed start time by one hour. The display will show “1H” - “2H” - “3H” ... “24H”.

Setting the child lock

- Press and hold the CHILD LOCK button for 3 seconds to activate the child lock. This feature locks the control panel so the set program cannot be changed. When the child lock has been set, the indicator above the button lights up. Press and hold again for 3 seconds to unlock.

Forgot to add a dish?

Additional dishes can be added any time before the detergent dispenser opens.

• Open the door a little to stop the washing. After the spray arms stop working, you can open the door completely.
• Add additional dishes.
• Close the door, the dishwasher will start running again after 10 seconds.

WARNING! It is dangerous to open the door when the dishwasher is running because hot water or hot steam may escape and scald you. Open the door very carefully.

Changing the program

If you want to change the wash program, you must do so soon after the start, otherwise the detergent may have already been released and the wash water drained, in which case you must refill the detergent dispenser (→ pages 26-27).

• Open the door, then press and hold the PROGRAM button for more than 3 seconds to cancel the current program.
• Press the PROGRAM button (repeatedly) and select a different program.
• Close the door firmly.

NOTE: If you open the door when washing, the machine will pause, a warning alarm will sound and "E1" will appear on the display. It will start running again 10 seconds after you close the door.

At the end of the wash program

When a buzzer sounds six times and “---” appears on the digital display, the wash program has finished.

• Open the door of the dishwasher — take care when opening the door as hot steam may escape.
• Press the ON/OFF switch to turn off the dishwasher.
• Leave the door ajar and wait at least 15 minutes before unloading the dishwasher to avoid handling the dishes and utensils while they are still hot and more susceptible to breakage. They will also dry better.
• When unloading the dishwasher, empty the lower basket first and then the upper one so water from the upper basket will not drip onto the dishes in the lower basket.

CAUTION! Do not pull out both the upper and lower basket at the same time, which may lead to the appliance tipping forward.

- It is normal that the dishwasher is wet inside. You may wipe the inside of the door with a dry cloth or leave the door slightly ajar for moisture to evaporate.

NOTE: If you are not going to use the dishwasher for a period of time, please shut off the water supply.

Program indicator lights

The program lights indicate the current state of the dishwasher.

All program lights are off. The dishwasher is in standby mode.
One of the program lights is on. The dishwasher is running.
One of the program lights is blinking.	The dishwasher is in pause mode.
All program lights start blinking. The dishwasher is out of order. Turn off the power and water supply and call the after sales support line for advice on service.

FAQs

The table below lists possible causes and solutions for common problems that you may encounter with the dishwasher. If you follow all the instructions below but still cannot solve a problem, please contact our after sales support centre using the details at the bottom of the page.

Dishwasher does not run	The fuse is blown or the circuit breaker is activated.	Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. Unplug any other appliances on the same circuit with the dishwasher.
	The power supply is not turned on.	Ensure the power and the dishwasher are turned on, the cord is properly plugged in and the door is closed securely.
	The water pressure is low.	Check that the water supply is connected properly and the water is turned on.
Drain pump does not stop	Overflow The system is designed to detect an overflow. When it does, it shuts off the circulation pump and turns on the drain pump.
Noise Some audible sounds are normal, such as sound from water spraying, food remnants being shredded and the detergent dispenser opening.
Suds in the tub In appropriate detergent Use		only specific dishwasher detergent to avoid suds. If this occurs, open the dishwasher and let the suds evaporate. Add 3-4 litres of cold water to the tub, close the door securely, then run the “Soak” program to drain out the water. Repeat, if necessary.

Dishwasher is leaking/ overflowing	The rinse aid dispenser is overfilled, or rinse aid is spilled.	Take care not to overfill the rinse aid dispenser. Spilled rinse aid could cause oversuding and lead to overflowing. Wipe away any spills with a damp cloth.
	Dishwasher is not level. Make sure the dishwasher is level.

Other Useful Information

Error codes

When there is a malfunction, the dishwasher will stop washing, sound a warning signal and display one of the following error codes. If the code indicates a malfunction or leakage, switch off the dishwasher, turn off the power and close the water supply. Then call the after sales support line for advice.

E2 Water inlet malfunction.

E3 Water drainage malfunction.

E4 Temperature sensor malfunction.

E5 Water overflow/leakage.

WARNING!

• If the dishwasher is overflowing, make sure to turn off the main water supply before making a service call.
• If there is water in the base of the tub because of an overfill or small leak, make sure to remove the water before restarting the dishwasher.

Cleaning and maintenance

The filter system

The filter system consists of a coarse filter, a flat (main) filter and a fine microfilter (Fig. 23):

1 Coarse filter

Larger items, such as pieces of bone or glass that could clog the drain are trapped in the coarse filter. To remove an item caught in this filter, gently squeeze the tabs on the top of this filter and lift it out.

2 Flat (main) filter

Food and soil particles trapped by this filter are pulverised by a special jet on the lower spray arm and washed down the drain.

3 Fine (micro) filter

This filter holds dirt and food residues in the sump area and prevents them from being redeposited on the dishes during a cycle.

The filter system efficiently removes food particles from the wash water, allowing it to be recycled during the wash. It prevents larger remnants of food or other objects from getting inside the pump. To ensure best performance, the entire filter assembly should be cleaned once a week and residues removed that may clog up the filters.

Removing the filter system

Inspect the filter system after every use for obstructions and remove any larger food particles trapped in system. To remove the filter assembly, unscrew the coarse filter and then take out the filters, as illustrated below (Fig. 24).

Step 1: Squeeze the tabs on top of the coarse filter, lift up and take out. Then turn the microfilter anticlockwise and remove.

Step 2: Lift up the flat filter and take out.

After cleaning the filters, replace them in reverse order.

Cleaning the filters

Remove any larger food remnants from the main filter and clean it under running water.

Use a cleaning brush to clean the coarse filter and the fine microfilter.

Reassemble the filter parts as illustrated opposite (Fig. 23) and reinsert the entire assembly in the dishwasher, positioning it in its seat and pressing downward.

CAUTION!

• When cleaning the filters take care not to contort their shape, which could compromise the washing performance.
• Never use the dishwasher without the filters. Improper replacement of the filters may reduce the washing performance and damage dishes and utensils.

Cleaning the spray arms

The spray arms should be cleaned regularly to prevent clogging of the jets and bearings due to limescale or other hard water chemicals.

• First remove the upper spray arm, as illustrated (Fig. 25):
  Screw off the nut in clockwise direction, take off the washer on top of the spray arm and then remove the arm.
• To remove the lower spray arm, pull it upwards, as illustrated.
• Wash both upper and lower spray arms in soapy, warm water and use a soft brush to clean the jets.
• Replace the spray arms after thorough rinsing.

Cleaning the door

Clean the edge around the door only with a soft cloth, dampened with warm water. Periodically clean the seals with a damp sponge to remove food remnants and prevent odour development.

CAUTION!

• To prevent penetration of water into the door lock and electrical components, do not use a spray cleaner of any kind.
• Never use sharp objects, harsh or abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on any dishwasher surface because they will scratch the finish. Some papers towels may also scratch or leave marks on the surface.

Looking after your dishwasher

• After every wash, turn off the water supply to the appliance and leave the door slightly ajar so moisture and odours are not trapped inside.
• Before cleaning or performing maintenance, always unplug the dishwasher from the socket.
• To clean the control panel, use a lightly dampened cloth and dry the area thoroughly afterwards.
• To clean the exterior and rubber parts of the dishwasher, do not use solvents or abrasive cleaning products. Only use a cloth with warm, soapy water. Or use a good appliance cleaner.
• To remove spots or stains from the surface of the interior, use a cloth dampened with water and a little white vinegar, or a cleaning product made specifically for dishwashers.
• Clean the door seals periodically with a damp sponge to remove any trapped food remnants and prevent odours developing inside the dishwasher.

In special situations

Going on holidays

When your dishwasher is not going to be used for some time, we recommend you run a wash cycle with the dishwasher empty and then unplug the dishwasher from the socket, turn off the water supply and leave the door slightly ajar. This will help with door seal durability and odour prevention inside the appliance.

Moving the dishwasher

If you must move the dishwasher, try to keep it in a vertical position. Only put it on its back if absolutely necessary.

Protect it from freezing

If your dishwasher is left in an unheated place during winter and temperatures are likely to drop to below zero degrees Celsius, you should take certain precautions to prevent water freezing in the pipes. Unplug the dishwasher from the electrical power supply and turn off the water supply. Then ask an authorised service technician to:

• Disconnect the water inlet pipe from the water valve.
• Drain any water from the inlet pipe and water valve (use a pan to catch the water).
• Reconnect the water inlet pipe to the water valve.
• Remove the filter assembly from the bottom of the dishwasher and wipe up any water left in the sump with an absorbent sponge.
